Buttons are used for Call-to-Actions, also referred to CTAs.
CTAs are an important component to any website, but especially to affiliate websites.
Whether you want your reader to "buy this now" or "click here to learn more", call-to-actions are the way to get them to do what you want.
Using buttons for CTAs are visually appealing and distinct to get your readers attentions.
Fortunately, WordPress makes it easy for you to create buttons, without needing to know or do any code.
Here's how to create a button in WordPress the easy way. Step-by-step.
1. Login to your website dashboard
(These steps require you to start within your WordPress Website Admin area)
2. Click on the + sign icon to add a new block
NOTE: These instuctions use WordPress Gutenberg blocks capabilities.
If you publish your content from Wealthy Affiliate Site Content, your content is published in one big Classic Block.
You will need to convert your content to individual blocks in order to insert these buttons within your content. ===> That's easy. Just follow the directions below.
This is a classic block above. Your entire post is published in one BIG block. All images, headlines and copy are strung together in one area.
This makes it harder to re-arrange elements in your article. You can do this so much easier by using individual blocks.
If your article is one big Classic block, here is how you convert to individual blocks:
- copy everything in this Classic block
- click on the + sign to add a new paragraph block
- Paste your copy into the new block
WP will smartly convert everything to individual blocks. You may have to fix some links, photos or video links in the conversion so just be prepared for that.
- Now delete your classic block, so you do not have duplicate content.
Now you are ready for the next step ==> :)
A really good training. It will be helpful to a lot of people.
