Google Search Console has been issuing plenty of false positives over the past year - notifying you of an error that is not, actually, an error at all.

This short video shows you the steps you can take to find out whether the error that Google Search Console has notified you of really is an error, or not - i.e. just a false positive.

The error I investigated in the video turned out to be a false positive and so all I had to do was validate the fix (even though no actual fix was made) and in a couple of days I'll get the confirmation that the problem was, indeed, fixed.
