Now that you have selected your own color, or wish to use the original colors in a different way, let's see how we change them.

Under the colors, you can see various headings such as Body, Primary Navigation, Buttons, etc.

Click the dropdown arrow at the side of each one to see your options.

For example, if you click Body, you will now see the current colors you are using for your background, text, and links.

Click on any of the circles to choose your own color.

When it comes to the links option, there are two colors.

The first color is how the links show on your site, and the second color is what it changes to when you hover over it.

As you change any color, you can see how it will look, as it changes in real-time, on your website on the right of the screen.

See below, as I have changed the standard blue link to deep pink.

Great explanation, Diane.

Is there a difference between the free and paid versions?

I only use the free version, so I don't know!

On the GP customize area, I'm not sure how many options you can customize with the free version. I only know what is available with the premium version of GP.

Good tutorial -- I have done some color changing on my site, but will go have a look to see if there's anything else that could do with a color boost.

Thanks for this training, Diane. I have not thought to change the colours in Generate Press but it's good to learn that I can particularly as I'm starting a new site very soon.

Thank you for this, it's very helpful.
