INTRODUCTION:

Wealthy Affiliate members should be aware at this point that WA is now in the business as a registrar for domain names. It is indeed a one-stop-shop!

Over the last few years, there have been a few changes by NameCheap in how to change a domain name server to point the DNS nameservers to WA.

Now that WA is a registrar for domain names you may wonder why anyone would even purchase their domain name from any company other than WA. Well, I chalk it up to a personal preference for the most part, but it could be due to financial reasons as well.

Many newcomers to WA are looking for a way to earn money and are looking to spend the least amount that they can to build their business. So, for those who are cost conscious, this training is for the individuals who want to continue to purchase domain names from a third party registrar such as NameCheap, instead of WA.

Those that choose to purchase a domain outside of WA will have a decision to make. After you buy from a third-party registrar, you will need to decide if you are going to leave your registration with the third party registrar such as NameCheap. If you choose to leave your registration with NameCheap, then all you need to do is point your DNS nameservers to WA. Your yearly renewal will continue with NameCheap.

So let’s get at it!

Thank you very much. It's a lot easier to just point our DNS nameservers that transferring from one registrar to another.

The domains at WA are more affordable than elsewhere when you add in all of the support you are literally given.

Hi Jerry,

I actually agree with your statement when it comes to the worth of WA. I was just commenting on the actual cost of the domain name.

I haven't purchased a domain name yet from WA, but from feedback from other members of this community, the average costs of a domain name from WA is about $13 and some change. Compared to the costs from NameCheap it's about $2 to $3 more at WA.

In the scheme of things that might not seem a lot to most of us, but it might make a difference to others and that is why I mentioned the cost of the training.

Thanks, Jerry for taking the time to review my training and your feedback.
