Thanks Loes. Is domain compulsory? Does it mean that if we build a website we must have a domain name? Can several websites belong to 1 domain name? I know that by having a domain it is unique to everyone and we can own our domain. Also, once we set up our websites, apply domain name and adsense, how do we receive our revenue? the advertisers will transfer to the account we give? sorry, just started this WA and super new, when going thru the lessons a lot of questions just popped up in my mind. Thanks in advance whoever that can solve my queries.

You eventually want a domain, but you can absolutely start with a free website. A domain is something that you will own and is an asset you will be building out moving forward.
You want ONE website per domain though. You don't want to have a bunch of niches or websites all connected to one domain.
I have spent some time breaking down the process in the most simplistic way possible. Success online is at the core a 4 step process and I have broken them down within this video: How to Create an Online Business - The 4 Steps Broken, down, the process looks like this:
Step 1: Choose your niche
Step 2: Build your website/content
Step 3: Get rankings in search engines (leads to traffic)
Step 4: Monetize your traffic (the make money part, through affiliate programs, etc!)
This applies in absolutely every niche and as you work through the training here at WA, you are going to be walked through this exact process. This is fundamental for ANY success online.

The Domain name is the URL, which is where people will locate your website. EG Wealthy Affiliate's Domain Name or URL is http://wealthaffiliate.com

HI, Yes - if you wanted to buy your own domain - it would be at a cost. At WA a domian name would cost you $13.99 yearly but this includes who.is privacy, email, backups, support and as a premium member you also get hosting.

I absolutely love it! I've been putting off purchasing my own domain because I was so confused with the whole DNS process. I am not a technical person at all. Sometimes I wish I were a nerd so that some things can come naturally, but nope lol. Anyway I love this process. It is so simple, and I am so excited to start building my brand.

Yeah, that is our ongoing goal. To take technology completely out of the business creation process through our own "complex" and sophisticated developments. I feel as though we are just getting started, there is so much that we will have to left to accomplish.

Yeah, DNS was a real headache for folks and not just that, the waiting game you have to play with other domain registrars after you purchase the domain name (up to 24 hours before the DNS resolves).
