What's prompted me to put this tutorial together is primarily the fact that sometimes I still see confusion amongst members as to how we can put a question to the lovely WA community.

Especially when I first started, even after going through the tour of the WA platform, it remained unclear to me how I could ask a question.

And, I think, being able to ask questions to the community is one of the best bonuses offered by WA - especially as you question, no matter what, gets answered virtually straightaway (!!!).

Today, hopefully, I am going to shed some light. So, without further ado, here's in the next page => How To Ask A Question From Your Profile Page =>

Thank You

This is important for all members to know how to do, we all need to ask questions from time to time.

You are very welcome Jeff. And I agree - I only found about how to ask questions because I needed to ask a lot of questions #lol

I agree with you the ability to ask a question from the community and the willingness of community members to answer, is one of the many great things about WA.

It's been my experience that you will likely get a more experienced (meaning more capable) response by using the Questions Tab on our Profile page.

You may get more responders by submitting your questions as a Blog question, but these responses are more likely to be opinions than an experienced response.

I've sensed that many of our community leaders plug into our Questions platform. Do you know if this is true?

If by that you mean ambassadors answers questions showing on the Questions platform, I think you are right, Dennis, they do. The Question part of the Dashboard is where questions asked from your profile page will appear, hence they get answered more effectively and actively.
Whereas, questions asked as part of a comment, as far as I am concerned, we only find out about from the notification emails. And that's why sometimes they get responded with delay.

Frank, I love it!!! I'm humbly honoured. I hope I won't mind me using it, maybe as my new profile picture for WA. Naturally I'd like to credit you - what name would you like me to use, Frank + surname, or 1signbanner? Just love it :)

Giulia, thanks so much for this post. I did not realize the difference, but of course it is simple and it was right in front of me. I have been asking all of my questions on My Blog instead of Questions. Thankfully the community has overlooked my oversight and still was supportive and answered the question, actually 17 of them in my first 2 months. Have a great day, God bless.
