This short video shows you how to add text to any image when using MS Paint.

  1. Open MS Paint (Windows or Mac)
  2. Select 'Paste From'
  3. Select an image from your own files.
  4. Resize the image using percentages.
  5. Select Text Box (A)
  6. Select font style and size, Select White font color for dark backgrounds.
  7. Center the text by moving entire section.
  8. 'Save As' png and save into file folder you will remember.
  9. Upload new image into Media Library to use later.

Notes to watch for...when you resize the image, the white canvas may extend past the actual image. Find the lower right corner of white canvas, and raise up until you meet the bottom edge of the image. THEN Save as....

In the video, you will see the cursor change shape when selected to move text box. You need to use that shape cursor in order to move text box, or you will only create a new text box. You can use hot keys to revertback to when you first add the text, and continue from there.

Feel free to ask any questions or pose and comments. Thank you for watching this video. I hope this helps you for your next project!

Thanks for this Rudy. A really simple way of adding text. I used to use Paint all the time before I started using Canva. Paint does a good job, too.
