Quick and simple way to add Google Analytics to all of your WordPress posts and pages!

Question Update:

Is this better then doing it the way Kyle shows in the tutorial?

It's just another way that I found to be very easy. If you have it all set up and are getting information from Google there is no reason to change.

Just curious, is it OK to have multiple scripts in the footer of your website? I currently have an amazon script, and would like to add analytics using the process shown in the video above. Thanks

I have more than one website where I run multiple scripts and no issue. Not sure if there is any limit, but having two or three has not affected my site performance, and they run properly, so I would add as many as you need until it affects performance...

There may be someone who has some more guidance that comes from up high (?), but I just can advise from my own experiences. I always push the envelope though and give the tool/program/people the opportunity to say "no" (as in it breaks the site in this case, hehe)!...

Cheers!

Yes, it's fine. I've had 4-5 in a section before without an issue. It has to be this way, otherwise you'd have to choose between analytics, facebook pixel, and amazon ads.

When you paste them in, make sure you leave a black space between them so if you need to delete one you don't chop up a different one accidentally.

Thanks Nathaniell
I left some space, and confirmed that both scripts are working.

Thanks again,

I believe Kyle's probably shows the All in One SEO plugin settings page, where one just inserts their Google Analytics ID. So it's easy, because WA preloads this plugin to all of the domains hosted now on WA.

But if one is not using that plugin, using the Insert Headers and Footers Plugin is a nice option, as you've shown. A text widget can also be created, without a plugin, and inserted into the footer; where one can then paste the code.

I like that you showed the GAChecker, as well. That's awesome.

What's the advantage of doing this? I've already set up Google Analytics as shown in Kyle's training - does this do something different? Thanks.

It's just another way that I found to be very easy. I don't remember how Kyle sets it up (i have not been through the training sine 2013). I you have it all set up and are getting information from Google there is not reason to change.

Thanks. The training shows us how to do it through teh ALl in ONe SEO plugin that's pre-installed. Cheers.

perfect! I use Yoast and they don't have a section for Analytics, just webmaster tools.

I keep reading about Yoast and how good it is. Not yet confident enough to switch over. Maybe one day... in which case this training will be very useful.

I would not fret about it to much, I have done a lot of research between the to and they are pretty much on par with each other. If you have AiO set up don't waste your time switching. Unless Yoast has some feature you can't live without.
