Create a simple text download link

In order to create a text download link within our WordPress blog, we must first get the URL of the PDF that we uploaded. To do this simply return to the WordPress media section and click the PDF file that you uploaded.

You then need to copy the URL of the uploaded PDF by selecting it and then right clicking with the mouse and selecting copy.

Next return to your post or page where you would like the download link to appear.

Select the download text within your page and select the hyperlink icon. Paste the URL for the PDF and click the enter arrow as indicated in the image below.

Once the page is published the download link will allow the PDF file to be viewed and downloaded by your readers.
