Motivation & Action

Nobody will force you to climb the ranks on Wealthy Affiliate! Here everyone does things at their own pace and sets their own goals! =) But if you are an active member, your rank will evolve automatically !

Seeing your rank go up and down is a great way to keep your motivation up ! It keeps you on track.

Subconsciously you will know that every action you take and every effort you make will be rewarded with better rankings within Wealthy Affiliate. Personally, this ranking allowed me (at least at the beginning because eventually I found myself too immersed in my website) to maintain my level of motivation at a high level. It also encouraged me to write down daily goals, just like in Kyle's lessons. Simple and efficient.

Visibility

Now what will happen when you achieve higher rankings on Wealthy Affiliate? Basically you will get a better exposure of your profile, of everything you create on Wealthy Affiliate (blogs, trainings, questions) but also of your website. For every new member will spontaneously see the rankings and will often want to add the ambassadors or top 200-100-50 people because they think they'll be able to help them. It's not necessarily true lol. I am an ambassador and I still feel very much like a "newbie" and can't help people with too advanced stuff ahaha...

I know that there are members who will want to add only the people that they feel they have a connection with or they can learn something from... Some will not want to end up with too many people in their contacts for fear of being overwhelmed and oppressed by mails and notifications. Each one manages their "social" life on Wealthy Affiliate as they wish, but do keep in mind that the more you climb up the ranks, the more "visible" you will be to others.

For example being in the top 100 or 50 enabled me to connect with more people and encouraged me to learn more and want to set a good example. It took my business to another level because I was inspired by more "advanced" or "successful" people and I wanted to achieve the same! =)

Traffic

The purpose of creating a website and being a member of Wealthy Affiliate is to make it a source of income. This is why you may want to go up in the rankings within Wealthy Affiliate.

People who are getting started on here or are a bit stuck with their online business will spontaneously visit your website to see how you are handling things. Sometimes you will even make a sale because a member of WA will find something on your site that helped them or interested them.

Traffic to my website increased as my rank on Wealthy Affiliate got around #100. Now it is not necessary to achieve ambassador or rank 100 to get traffic. Remember it's all in the keywords you use, which will allow you to be well ranked on google / yahoo / bing. You can just ignore your rank and simply generate trafic by sharing your posts on here and asking for feedback. You will also generate trafic by using social media. But after all, why not use Wealthy Affiliate rankings and exposure?

Conversions

As Kyle said, trafic means conversions $$ or €€ for my fellow European neighbors =)

Being in the top 200-100-50-25 will definitely give you more credibility and self-confidence. It's easier to talk about a program when you feel you have worked your way up to the top than when you are just getting started or stagnating.

Sometimes someone will have no idea what they want to choose for a niche and they will not build a website right away (or maybe ever!). If that is your case, it doesn't mean you can't climb up the rankings on here! You just need to earn "points" by being an active helper or contributor on Wealthy Affiliate (by writing blogs, questions, trainings...).

Some people will keep their Wealthy Affiliate membership without working on a website because they just love the community and feel they can contribute. Being in the top 25 or top 50 can be a great way to see earn money as a contributor to the community (by creating trainings for example or referring people to WA with a simple web page that promotes the community and program only).

So really, rankings on Wealthy Affiliate should not be seen as an obligation, an obsession or a source of stress, but just as a great way to keep you motivated and focused on your goals!

Nicely done.Although, it takes a massive amount of time even for one who works from home to manage all the steps. Its best to take baby steps and learn as you go or grow. Regarding ambassadorship that doesn't mean much. If you focus on helping others as you grow and learn good things come to you as go you along.

I have been close, over the years with high rankings but it isn't as important as helping others and yourself become a success. So basically, I am trying to say there must be a balance. If you spend every second on here doing every step you mention how will you ever succeed with your own sites and business? As I have noticed over the years, only a few people at that high level of ambassadorship have made a full time income. Why, because they are too busy watching chat, etc they are getting distracted.

If you have a real online business then you know it takes a lot of time out of your day to perform the duties you need to perform to be a success. So again, make sure you create a logical balance between here on WA and your own endeavors.

You are absolutely right! One must find the right balance between helping others and working on their website.
The 10 steps I mentioned don't take all my time though. I usually do all this in the morning and spend the rest of my day focusing on my website, which allows me to both help others and focus on my own business. And I definitely don't get too much into the chat room lol, because it's too easy to get distracted in there!
Some people will just want to work on their website, which is absolutely fine as well. We all have different goals.
Getting better rankings on here is by no means an obligation or a necessity to earn money, but it can be an asset to your business & allow you to earn more commissions through the WA program.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
All the best
