Third, I used my blog, social media, youtube and newsletters to share with people new ways I've learned how to use the product and shown them how to become affiliates, too. This helps them to keep using the products so they can duplicate what I do with their own twist.

I wasn't successful the first few times I created blogs for the company I'm representing because I didn't have a clear direction and didn't understand their commission plan well enough to make it work for me in the beginning. If your company offers training, UTILIZE IT! I can't stress it enough. They KNOW what it takes to be successful with their products and will save you the headaches of having to start over.

When I realized my mistakes, I dumped the site name and address and imported some of the redeemable content so I wasn't starting from scratch as I made the new content. I went through this process a few times until I found the right combination of content and site name.

I also talked with a mentor about web development on Wordpress. I had spent way too much time trying to get the colors, back ground pictures, fonts, etc just right. My mentor makes thousands of dollars each month on her site, so I asked her how she makes her websites and utilizes her time more effectively. She told me which theme she uses and where to get it (she forgot to share her affiliate link for the theme- oops!).

She also pays authors who are inspired by the same genres of her sites to write content after she interviews them and reviews their resumes. (I haven't hired out yet).

I also looked at other people's sites for similar products and found that using a company (not GOOGLE) that allows me to choose a customized ratio between links to related content within my blog and promoted content, has share buttons, as well as keeping track of how many visitors I have to my site. I'm not as concerned about the promoted content because it brings in pennies per day. I'm more interested in keeping them on my site to purchase the products I've chosen to feature.

I also downloaded GIMP.ORG to make my own graphics so that the graphics would be original. If you don't like downloading, you can use pixlr, an online photo editor that allows you to save your creations to your hard drive without downloading a program.
