Great! So, you’ve created a G+ page, now it is time to fill it with people and activity!

Welcome to Module B: Building Your Google Plus Empire! :)

Step 1: Log into your G-mail (Google account), open a additional tab for your Google Plus page, open a 3rd tab and log it into Wealthy Affiliate. I prefer to have all 3 pages handy, as I like to be able to easily work back and forth.

You don’t have to do this, but I always suggest folks set their web browser to open links in a new tab, rather than in the current page or a whole new window.

Step 2: Go to the G+ thread on your Wealthy Affiliate screen.

Scroll down a little…

…and then click to add Kyle and Carson as the first 2 people you are going to follow.

Here is where it begins to pay off having your browser set to open new tabs. After you have added each new person, just x out of the individual tab, leaving your other pages up and ready to use!

To add a person, once you are on their G+ page, simply mouse over the “add to circle” or “follow” button right underneath their picture. You must be logged into your Google (Gmail account) or this button will be missing.

A drop-down box will appear with options to check. Always add each person to the “following” category by checking that box. This is like a “total” tally of who you are following.

Then also add them to other circles if you like. Circles may be a strange term to you, but really it is simply a category or folder by which your contacts are organized.

***Note: 10/11/2016 - I have updated how I organize my circles...while the original following paragraph and the chart above are okay ways to organize circles, the new way is much better in the long term...see the link below to additional training on this subject...thanks. ***

Original Info: You will notice that I have my WA contacts organized into 6 days. Every day I am working my business plan, I interact with a different group. I have many other circles, not shown, in many other categories.

The remaining 4 parts to this training module remain the same at this time! :)

To help you get organized, there is a create circle option, so you can create whole new categories “on-the-fly” as you add to your circles.

On to step 3!

Some of my posts I 'Shared' with 'Public' and a particular 'Community'. So when I look at my posts, I see two postings of the same thing. Looks funny! Should I only post to a community, or public. Any input is appreciated.

This seems to happen to everybody. It does get annoying to go to someone's page and see 10 copies of the same thing in a row. My only answer to that at the moment is to not post everything you put up to every community. I try to post to my page and then alternate between communities.

Just what does the +1 actually do? Is it just like a 'Like', or does it trigger something else?

Hi...+1 is essentially the same as a Facebook "like". These are both really just the most basic measure of user interaction.

Comments and shares/re-posts are the next level up...all of these are used as data feeding into the Google, Yahoo and Bing. It is part of the overall ranking system used for SEO and search engine calculation.

It is all a bit complicated and somewhat hidden by the search engines, because they don't want people gaming the system, and also they are selling products based on their ability to gather and monopolize this info.

Social media is not worth much for direct selling, in my opinion. The main benefits for WA members would be boosting over-all search engine rankings and getting your website out there as an authority for your niche.

Hope that helps.
Chris.

Just came from my G+ page...mine are right where I left them...mouse over the "profile" button on the top left, then select "people" from the drop down...on the people page click on my circles, top center...your circles will display. You should have at least 1 circle labeled "following" if you have any followers. Hope that helps. :)
