So once you have filtered and labelled your messages, where do you find them?

Google will by default place all your labels, on the left hand side menu bar underneath the label that says Inbox

Exactly as shown above. This is where you access them in future .

But, please note, that Google won't put them there for you, you still physically have to check the filtered email/s and then move the email/s to the correct folder, so there is still a little bit or 'work' for you to do

In finishing, though this tutorial is about Google's gmail, this same method may well work with other free email providers such as outlook, it just happens that gmail is known as a good email provider and works on our behalf to make things easier, compared to other free email providers

Gmail is quite good. I find the filters in Outlook to be quite leaky. For some odd reason, it will put some email from WA in the junk mail folder instead of the Inbox. Other times the rules simply do not work and place filtered items in the Inbox instead of in the folder specified.

Gmail is quite good at filtering SPAM too. As you mentioned, they seem to do more to help out that the others.

Good article! Thanks
