Well I'm Here, Now What?

I know how confusing it is when you first start at Wealthy Affiliate. When you read adds trying to get you to join, they promise instant help, amazing training modules, and an education in internet marketing but where do you get started to take advantage of all these perks and benefits?

When you first sign up, it can be a little confusing. You may be expecting someone to contact you and walk you through some three-step process that promises pots of gold at the end of the rainbow.

I can assure you that you WILL NOT find any three-step, get rich programs in Wealthy Affiliate. No push button opportunities or other scams that promise false hopes.

What you will find are real people who are willing to help you educate yourself on how to build websites and market products. I can tell you from my own personal experience that all the knowledge you need is here, but it's 100% up to you how vigorously you seek out that knowledge and what you do with it.

Let me take a moment to introduce you the the mad geniuses behind wealthy affiliate. Their names are Kyle (left) & Carson (right) - AKA K&C.

Both Kyle and Caron are always very willing to help people but, as you can imagine, they are extremely busy guys. They have thousands of members to look after plus all the support tickets from web hosting and who knows what else.

For the most part, when you get help, it will be from other members like Dean (username: Apina) or Beverley (user name: BIS) or myself or any number of other members - the list of people willing to help is far too long to post here.

Understanding The Community

In order to appreciate the greatness of this community, you need to understand a few things. First, members don't get paid to answer your questions; thus, they are not obligated. The reason I tell you this is not to make you feel hesitant to reach out for help, quite the opposite in fact, I encourage you to do so from day one. I mention this only to help you understand how the community works.

Getting help from someone who is acting out of a desire to help is far more valuable than someone who is getting paid to help you. I mean, would you want someone helping you who is getting paid minimum wage or someone who has experienced some success and just wants to see you realize your own dream?

I also feel it's important to know, even though we do get paid to recruit new members, people here help everyone not only there own recruits. This adds to the feeling of community rather than every man for himself. It is this kind of thinking and leadership that make this a great community.

In this training, I will draw an outline that I believe will help you have a greater understanding of the fundamentals of Wealthy Affiliate and will help you better understand where and how to get the help you need as quickly as possible.

Good advice Ty, slow down and learn, advice you have given me before. I have re-addressed my approach and building at a solid rate not a hap-hazard frenzy.

That's what it's all about, I did that when I fist started too, I look back on it and I did learn but it would have been better if I was more patient

We actually walk people through this with the warm welcome, but this is a great addition to that. :)

I know I was just trying to point people to the warm welcome, because they keep asking me what to do after the warm welcome, I honestly wonder if people are really reading it, plus I wanted to toss in my motivation to the mix, which was the main reason for writing it to begin with it...plus I started it before the warm welcome came out, and figured why not finish it, couldn't hurt
