It should be noted that Google has the ultimate authority to remove/delete any Blogger/BlogSpot blog from its entire web space and Google search, but for blogs hosted on WordPress, you can only file a DMCA notice of removal from the Google search.
If you want to have the entire blog completely deleted, then you would have to file and submit a DMCA removal request to the site’s host.
What to discuss in this training tutorial:
- Discover copied content from your blog
- Report duplicate content to Google
Discover Copied Content from Your Blog
There are several services like Copyscape & Grammarly which you can leverage to discover duplicate content from your own blog at all times. Or alternatively, you can select a phrase from any of your blog posts and perform a search on Google with quotation marks attached.
Here’s an illustration:
Using quotes visit Google and perform a search for a line on your blog. You can see that I picked a line from one of my blogs as shown below and no one has ever copied that phrase from my blog to another blog. See this in the image below and also notice that SEOquake is turned on for my browser extension.
“Are you planning to take your business blog to the next level?”
I realy want the image they stole removed from there site though as I don't want to be linked in any way and not in any way to this site as there 'adult images' they use are hihgly improperty.
Can I use the form to report this in this case or should I do something else as only the feature image got stolen?(I made the image on my own phone)
Thanks for your advice.
Jude
I agree with you that we need to preserve our effort but still, when you have the same niche as many others, it is inevitable to write about the same topic or part of it sooner or later. Therefore, it is not the best choice to report anyone, you think they have stolen your content. if they copied the whole thing then it is a different story.
It is just my opinion, but if someone stole the whole thing you can report them, but finding the same sentences or topics is normal for websites with the same niche. So I am not really happy to spread such training without more details about what to report and what not to report, to avoid confusion and harming innocent bloggers. Some people might use this training to remove the competition from their way.
Accept my opinion.
