Rank Up

We all want our posts on Googles page 1 for obvious reasons, but what if you are nowhere near page 1 with your old posts? Do they just stay there and rot, or is there anything we can do?

I have recently started using these simple but effective steps that I learned from magistudios and here is his profile here if you want to check out all his training. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co...

The training in particular that I learned from was called GIVING OLD CONTENT A NEW SEO LIFE and here is the link if you want o take a look https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co...

THIS ABSOLUTELY WORKS 99% OF THE TIME IF YOU FOLLOW IT CAREFULLY.

I will show you the easy steps you need to take on the next few pages of this training.

like if you like and comment if you need help :)

Hi Matthew, in answer to your question about using ALT in images: the ALT text is what people see who can't see images. It is a text description of your image and the bots of Google see this too. It is generally recommended to use your keyword in at least one image, of course use it in a way that looks pleasant and natural. It increases your ranking if you do. But don't just stuff the keyword in each ALT text, because that will be noticed by Google too. Google uses your ALT text to index your picture as well, so be descriptive and if possible use the exact keyword 1 time and matching keywords to the other images you have, so it's clear to Google what it's all about.

Thank you for your training, it's a nice read and a great idea. Only I don't see why I would change the date in Wordpress, because in your sitemap Google is going to be notified that you made changes, the robots will then re-index your post and rank it again if there are lots of changes. Changing the date isn't going to work. If you act as if it is a newer post, you will also have a duplicate content issue, which you want to avoid. You don't need to do that :) Google does mention the post date in the search results only if you allow that in your meta's and it's recommended not to do that, because it takes space and you rather use that space for your meta description text :)
