If you have set up a blog or website you will have to add content on a regular basis. If you're a beginner it can sometimes be difficult to generate enough ideas especially if you're also trying to write articles for an article directory. Mind mapping is just one method that can help you generate a large number of ideas which can then be turned into possible article titles.

This tutorial includes:
  • Creating a mind map
  • Making use of a mind map
  • Generating article titles
  • Research for articles
  • Planning and writing

I hope that you find it useful

Great tutorial, thanks!

So keyword research based upon the same keyword from one mind map branch, generating many possible articles. Than research of these articles and writing them according to plan.

Great! will use that.

Hi Beverley. I love using these mind maps. I've been using them to set up site structure; pages, sub pages, posts, and so on into the writing. Never occurred to me to use them for the research. Thanks so much for this eye opener. I can definitely see the time savings as well. I like x mind, but then that's the one I started using. Best regards, Kirk.
ps. Bookmarked this as a future reference.

This is an excellent lesson for me and more then likely many other of our "students". I am not a writer, tough I can write about simple things, this teaches me how to get deeper into it and probably write more compelling articles. This is something absolutely needed for our purposes here.
Thanks Beverly

Thanks - I hope you find it useful. It takes time to get used to it, but it's all to easy to lose focus and a timer certainly helps.

This, I found really useful for brainstorming. I started with a mindmap but it got really messy. I changed to an outline format instead, but the mindmap was a great starting point.

Thank you - that's kind. Part of developing the skill is just practice. I don't mean that in a glib way. However, the more you write the ideas will come more easily and your writing will flow. Keep at it.

This is genius! I've been trying to use an outline format to try to break things down, which has worked ok, but I just spent a few minutes trying out your suggestion and with it not being in such a strict format, it actually flowed pretty effortlessly. Now to work in some extra time for more blog/article posts. Lol. Thank you!
