How do I choose my niche?

Answer: Choosing a niche is a big commitment. Many people really get stuck on this. Some worry too much about competition. Competition is a good thing. If there is competition, then your niche choice is obviously something that people search for. When you pick your niche, you should choose something that you will be comfortable writing a lot about. It can be something that you know a lot about, or simply something that interests you that you would love to research, learn about, and share with others. It should be something that you will stick with for the long term.

If you make it too broad, (like: computers), you will never have an authority site. There is just too much information to cover, such as, the types of computers, software available, programming, etc. If you narrow it down too much, you will not be able to write much about it, (like: comparing one processor to another).

Choose a niche that will be narrow enough for you to become an expert writing about, but broad enough to allow you to expand if you run out of things to write about.
