Microsoft has labeled their latest operating system as being'the best Windows ever'. It seems their customers are in agreement, as less than one year after its July 29th launch, Windows 10 is now actively running on 300 million devices around the world.
Despite the new and exciting features, the transition to Windows 10 is not without its problems. Here are a few Windows 10 fixes.
How to upgrade to Windows 10
To jumpstart their goal of 1 billion Windows 10 installations by 2017, Microsoft is offering a free upgrade to those running Windows 7 and 8.1. This upgrade promotion will expire on July 29th, here’s what you can do to secure your free copy. First, confirm you have the most recent Windows Updates installed.
If your current operating system is Windows 7, go to the control panel and run Windows Update to ensure you have Service Pack 1 or later installed. If running Windows 8.1, you should have Update 1 or later installed. Once up to date you should see the Get Windows 10 app in your system tray, and be able to reserve your free upgrade.
