Your website is your shop window to the viewing public. It needs to be neat, tidy and clean.

Keeping your website colour scheme on one level makes for a cleaner, more professional and better user experience.
If your theme skin is blue and you decide to make your H2 titles blue but a different shade because you cant quite get the same colour as your theme, then it is going to make your site a bit unbalanced, so finding the same shade will have a much better UX.
