Facebook Boost - A Case Study
A day later I gathered my results.
People Reached - 831 - This is how many people actually saw the advert.
Links Clicked - 51 - This is the actual traffic Facebook sent to my site
Facebook Page Likes - 0 - The number of people like/following my site during the Boost
Facebook Engagement - 1 - The amount of likes/comment on the post itself
As we can see for only £2 I generated 51 visits to my actual site, which is fairly impressive IMO
However the actual Facebook engagement was almost Zero, one person commented on the post and he was very negative, I didn't even engage with him as he is "that" sort of commenter. I find that Disappointing Really this was one of the main reasons I boosted the post hoping to raise my Social Standing.
Further analysis out side of face book is even more promising
Page Users the day before Boost - 3 - The post was not performing very well as it only ranked 13 on Google.
Page Users the day of the Boost - 71 - Dramatic increase in Traffic.
Affiliate Click Through's - 6 - I registered 6 clicks through to the Affiliate link on my page. Before this I had 0 clicks through on this promotion. So the flow through was quite high. I was hoping for a little more really but it's a result at least.
Sales - 0 - Well that's up until now. The Affiliate program in question has a 30-day cookie so you never know.
