Hi, welcome to this tutorial on using Site Content images, I hope you find it helpful.
Unfortunately, Site Content images, as they are, aren’t compatible with WordPress, and apart from cropping a square or circle, should be edited in an image editing program such as Gimp, Canva, Paint, etc, and saved in a compatible image file format. Jpeg, PNG, and Gif being the most widely used. Personally, I use Gimp, the poor man’s Photoshop or Dreamweaver. as my image editor
All the images in Site Content are copyright and royalty free and in the public domain, and are taken from various free image websites such as Pixabay, Public Domain Pictures, Upsplash, etc. Using Site Content images saves you trawling through the various free sites trying to find the images you want. There are now two ways you can download the chosen image. Let’s look at the first one, which I think is the quickest and easiest.
Whichever method you choose you need to save the image where you can open it in an image editing program. I use File Explorer and save images in a folder named My Website Images.
Thank you very much! Your tutorial was very helpful and I have it bookmarked.
I chose the 2nd method for now... but I am going to do the 1st method too.
A couple of years ago, I found a mini free Photoshop software... I'm sure I saved it. I'll look for it...
How are you doing? I hope you had a good summer.
Have a blessed weekend, Brian!
Regards,
Monica
