What is PPC Advertising?

There are several methods of generating traffic online, some of which are:

• SEO
  • Traffic generated from the keywords you target in each of your article you write. (example an article with the keyword "pink elephant" in its title would show from a search of "what is a pink elephant?")
• Organic Traffic
  • Traffic generated by search engine results that include your domain name. (example: search for "pink elephant" shows the result pinkelephant.com)
• PPC Ads (Pay Per Click)
  • PPC traffic is generated from an ad that when clicked sends traffic to a particular page/post usually selling something or an affiliate offer.

We'll be covering PPC Ads in this Tutorial. PPC is traffic that is generated from Ads placed within search engine results.

They can look like this:

If you were to click that ad you would be taken to a page on WA that is tied to one of our members affiliate's id. This is an example of someone using PPC Ads to promote there affiliate id and send traffic to it.

PPC Ads are highly effective and a great way of sending targeted traffic to a particular website or page.

The only downside is that you must pay for these ads and test them to find which ad is the most effective at converting. This testing is called Split Testing and we'll cover that next.
