"Your ads then will appear prominently on the results pages based on the dollar amount bid you will agree to pay per click."

Based on this quote is it me who is bidding to put ads on my site or is others bidding to put ads on my site?

You if that's the word you want to rank for...

Kyle's intro is worth a look!

Based on what Kyle says, I am the one who would be spending the money to have an ad on a search engine and, when people click on my ad I make some money.

That being the case, it would be a good idea to be making enough money from a website to support this kind of thing before considering the PPC route.

I am not making any money yet so, this would not be for me at this time although I can see the benefit.

Thanks for putting this out there for us, Steve. All the best,

Wayne

Thank you for posting this as PPC is definitely something I want to get into this year, but I'm a little.....lost. I don't fully understand what you're saying about PPC.

Where exactly do you start getting into PPC or creating your own ad? Also, can I create an ad promoting a certain product from Amazon and when they click that ad and decide to buy the product or something else, I will then get a commission correct?

Is it better creating a PPC ad promoting a review at my website that has an affiliate link to said product to purchase or just create an ad directly to that product with my affiliate link in the ad?

You said there is a search engine for PPC that I can put on my website? Where do I find this? So sorry about all the questions like this, but I've never done anything with PPC before and I'm trying to understand it all.

Google Adsense is an example of PPC. Speaking of which I got two clicks on the banner on my travel site yesterday... most I ever had in 1 day.
