Downgrade WordPress Version 5.0 to 4.9.8

As you know I love the new editor but it may not play nicely with some themes and plugins. If your website doesn't look the way you expect after the upgrade, there is a way to go back. It's quick and easy, even for beginners. Watch this 2 minute video.

I don't recommend downgrading the WordPress version. There's a Classic Editor plugin which gives you the old familiar experience.

And there's the Classic block to add the classic editor functions on a block by block basis.

The option here is only for those websites that are not working properly after the upgrade.

Very helpful training, thank you, Marion. I'll remember this if I need to downgrade my Wordpress version.

Wordpress has recently brought out Gutenberg, a new version of Wordpress. It's a great improvement but I don't like the fact that it has several scroll bars.

Regards,

Dominic

Yeah, those scrollbars take a bit of getting used to.

Marion, If I could, I would give you a big ol' thank you hug! Everything was going along just fine in the "backstage" of my Camer theme, until I updated the latest version several days ago. Once again, many thanks! Your tutorials are so easy to follow; smooth as butter! You surely have been gifted with the ability to teach well.

Wonderful training as always, Marion. Very handy. My WP5.0 looked really funky in the edit mode.
