Leading a meeting isn't difficult if you are prepared. If another WAer from your area will join you, that makes it more fun. Each time you hold a meeting, it gets easier.
Here is a detailed format that I follow for my meetings.
- Introductions - I invite everyone to give their name and reason for attending.
- Housekeeping - The washrooms and refreshments are pointed out.
- Introduction to the evening - I show my "meeting outline".
- Introduction to Affiliate Marketing - I explain the term and show Yahoo and AOL ads.
- Introduction to WA - I define WA and go over all the parts of the dashboard.
- Stop for questions.
- Join Live Chat - I join live chat, say hello from the group and wait for answers.
- Show Various Websites - My site and those of other WAers.
- Open affiliate links on those sites to explain affiliate marketing again.
- Go to Sitebix and explain tabs.
- Create a sitebix.com domain name from group suggestions.
- Log into the new site.
- Create a post with content from the group.
- Add pictures suggested by group
- Add affiliate links for WA and from my affiliates.
- Stop for Questions
- Ask for questions or comments from WAers.
- Close the meeting by thanking everyone. Announce the next meeting date, if known.
I try to stick to a meeting timetable. I spend about:
- 2- 4 minutes on each of the first 9 items.
- 30 minutes creating a website
- 10-15 minutes on questions from WAers.
- 15 minutes on more refreshments and chatting.
Follow up to each meeting is very important.
