Leading a meeting isn't difficult if you are prepared. If another WAer from your area will join you, that makes it more fun. Each time you hold a meeting, it gets easier.

Here is a detailed format that I follow for my meetings.

  1. Introductions - I invite everyone to give their name and reason for attending.
  2. Housekeeping - The washrooms and refreshments are pointed out.
  3. Introduction to the evening - I show my "meeting outline".
  4. Introduction to Affiliate Marketing - I explain the term and show Yahoo and AOL ads.
  5. Introduction to WA - I define WA and go over all the parts of the dashboard.
  6. Stop for questions.
  7. Join Live Chat - I join live chat, say hello from the group and wait for answers.
  8. Show Various Websites - My site and those of other WAers.
  9. Open affiliate links on those sites to explain affiliate marketing again.
  10. Go to Sitebix and explain tabs.
  11. Create a sitebix.com domain name from group suggestions.
  12. Log into the new site.
  13. Create a post with content from the group.
  14. Add pictures suggested by group
  15. Add affiliate links for WA and from my affiliates.
  16. Stop for Questions
  17. Ask for questions or comments from WAers.
  18. Close the meeting by thanking everyone. Announce the next meeting date, if known.

I try to stick to a meeting timetable. I spend about:

  • 2- 4 minutes on each of the first 9 items.
  • 30 minutes creating a website
  • 10-15 minutes on questions from WAers.
  • 15 minutes on more refreshments and chatting.

Follow up to each meeting is very important.

Very informative Jim. To be honest, I didn't even look at the offline aspect of referring people. Thanks for that.
