I struggled recently with trying to implement a Question and Answer page on my website.
Through trial and error (and a couple of plugins and a few videos later), I finally managed to not only set up a Question and Answer page but also a Member sign in form (an upcoming tutorial).
If you are wondering why you would want to create a Question and Answer page, it is a good way to interact with your visitors and hopefully increase traffic.
I will be doing three tutorials. This is the first one.
(1) Creating a Question and Answer Pag
(2) Creating a Members Sign-in Page
(3) Setting up Fields in a Registration form
Let's begin.
INSTALLING PLUGIN
First I installed the DWQA plugin. In the wordpress dashboard under Add New Plugin, type in DWQA. Install and Activate.
Once activated, check under Pages in your Dashboard; there should be 2 pages generated with a code (do not remove code):
DWQA Ask Question
DWQA Questions
(Here is where you ‘might’ have an issue. The first time I installed the plug in, the 2 pages did not show up. I deleted the plug in (not just deactivated), then I cleaned out my cache and started again).
