Adding a Table of Contents

Using Open Office, ensure that you use the Style menu for adding Chapter Heading and sub-headings.

Select 'Heading 1' for Chapter Heading and 'Heading 2 or 3' (or both) for sub-headings.

Then, insert a blank page at the start of your document.

From the 'Insert' menu, select 'Indexes and Tables' > 'Indexes and Tables' and the following pop-up appears:-

Select 'OK' to insert your Table of Contents.
