Hi Paul,
I've been looking into purchasing Artisteer because I'm getting frustrated configuring wordpress the way I want it to look. I'm so glad to find someone within WA that has used it and can give me some advice on it.
I'm rebuilding my portfolio site and I use photo sliders inside the site on pages other than the home page. Can you tell me if Artisteer will let me do that or do I need to get a plug-in from wordpress? Also I need a contact form.
I appreciate any help you can give.

Hi Shar. Artisteer is a theme designer, and you can design themes that work identically to the themes you download from WP. You design the theme, upload it, and use it like any other, creating posts in WP, and contact forms and sliders from plugins. Here's an Artisteer-created theme I made for a client with Contact Form 7 plugin and Easingslider Lite slider (used in fade mode): http://chefs2call.co.uk/

So Artisteer is like building your own framework of the site. I was hoping it would also have a lot of features (plug-ins) that would be customizable too. Looks like I need to figure out how to search for the best plug-ins too.
Are there any classrooms that discuss this topic? I've heard you have to be careful when picking plug-ins because some might conflict with other features on your site... maybe I'm too picky : S

This is awesome software. I have the MAC version. I have designed a few sites for some people , but I did not use it for my WA websites. I wanted to experience what WA has to offer first. My next website in the near future will be an artisteer theme that I develop.
