Add YouTube Video in Generatepress

To add YouTube video, first add Container and then add " YouTube or video" block, if you add video block without inserting Container, the Video will go full lenth and it may overwhelm your readers.

You will see three options:

Upload, Media Library & Insert from URL.

If you want to upload an YouTube video, insert from URL, is the best option.

You can grab any Youtube URL, by clicking on "Share" button under the YouTube video, you will get a sharable link, which then you can insert here.

There is also a "media & Text" block but it's best for adding images and content in one block.

Same way you can add "audio" files also.

Use "spacer" to create a space between two blocks.

In the last, you can add testimonial, there is no block for testimonial but you can add "media and text" or "three columns" to create it. You can use these blocks to create your footer area also.

With Gutenberg and Generatepress blocks especially, Container block - you can easily create some awesome landing pages without any page builder.

Container block has a ton of settings, which helps to create an amazing landing page, even with a free Generatpress theme.

Then should you go for Generatepress Pro - a paid version?

Your link to "Get the Free Trial" does not work when I click it. Is it working for everybody else?

Thank YOU Shubhaangi, for sharing this.

I have been sooo reluctant to even try Gutenberg, as I feel it is tying my hands behind my back, forcing me to forget the coding that I learned back long before WordPress days.

Sounds like I need to setup a test site and get to work learning to use Gutenberg, especially if the Classic Editor plugin developer ever decides to desert that plugin.

Time to get my feet wet, huh. Thanks again!

Actually I was very reluctant to try Gutenberg, but from the last few WAbinars, Jay was insisting it.
Give it a try, not that hard:)

Great stuff and detailed teaching.
Personally I dont use Gutenberg block as I also find it a bit confusing. Therefore I create landling page with Elementor (free) or visual composer instead. Your post is definitely a good reference for anyone want to use Gutenberg to create a landing page!

All the best,
Lin
