To add any kind of lead capture form, you must sign up for any email provider services. There are many free and paid email service providers but if you just starting out go for Mailerlite.
It offers free services upto 1000 subscribers, and when you sign up you get 14 days free premium trial.
It's very easy to create lead capture forms, and once you create one, you get a embed code which you can copy & paste.
To add this code, you need to click on the + sign in the same container and it will ask you to add a block. You can also find the block in the search bar by typing the block name and it will show up.
Paste the code in provided space and if you want to check whether it is working fine, click on the preview tab.
The best part is you can save this block, by clicking on the three dots, and saving in "Add to reusable blocks" and you can use this block again, if you want so.
By now, your lead capture form should be live on your landing page.
Once you understand how these blocks work, its very easy to create other sections of landing page.
Let me quickly show you, how to add other blocks, so you can create landing pages easily.
I have been sooo reluctant to even try Gutenberg, as I feel it is tying my hands behind my back, forcing me to forget the coding that I learned back long before WordPress days.
Sounds like I need to setup a test site and get to work learning to use Gutenberg, especially if the Classic Editor plugin developer ever decides to desert that plugin.
Time to get my feet wet, huh. Thanks again!
Personally I dont use Gutenberg block as I also find it a bit confusing. Therefore I create landling page with Elementor (free) or visual composer instead. Your post is definitely a good reference for anyone want to use Gutenberg to create a landing page!
All the best,
Lin
