So you have a great landing page that has relevant keywords, now what?

The best way to a good quality score is to start off using just the keywords that google recommends for that website. So when you use the keyword tool, you will see that all of the keywords are organized by related terms. For instance, say you scanned a weight loss merchant website and it came up with keywords. They would all be grouped like this:

Diet: Diet Pills, Diet Plan; best diet for people over 50; etc. Weight Loss: best weight loss plan, Free weight loss guide, etc.

I would then open note pad and write down all of the related terms and those terms would become my adgroups. So my first adgroup would be called "diet" and all of the keywords would be the ones in the "diet" terms. (Obviously selected by you that was the most relevant to what you are selling)

If you keep your adgroups tight like this (with related keyword terms), then most of your keywords should be between 10-30 cents for activation. Make sure to write compelling ad's that use the base keyword at least once in your title and once in the body for each ad group.

Finally, you want to start out bidding at least high enough to get all of your keywords activated, so long as they are 30 cents or less(So this means bid at the most 30 cents.) and make sure you budget is set high enough to receive plenty of traffic.

Now, I can hear some of the objections now: "But I don't want to pay that high of bids, etc." Don't worry, you won't for long, if you follow my advice up next.

Now we will deal with handling poor quality score, and the google slap.

No problem! I've worked with google off and on for six frustrating months trying to figure out how to handle it and now that I've gotten into this "system", google no longer gives me troubles.

The hardest part to all of this is writing compelling ad text that gets the clicks. Once you get that down, the rest is a breeze!

Hi ccmusicman
Thanks for the great tips! I was just working on some adwords stuff this morning and got the $10 bid (which I don't usually get) and was wondering what to do! Here's a piece of gold! Thanks again!
