What is a niche?

A niche is simple, it is an audience. An audience looks for stuff online, for example, what are some of the last searches you did in Google. These are ALL niches.

In this video I am going to help you UNDERSTAND what a niche is, how to come up with niches that you are interested in, how to choose a niche...and if you can't come up with your own niche, then I give you a "plan of attack" for getting your business up and running in a pre-selected niche.

Here is what you are going to be doing within this tutorial:

  • Understand what a niche is
  • Finding your very own niche
  • Choosing your initial direction
  • Finding and search for affiliate programs
  • Using Answers.com to uncover niches
  • Understanding Affiliate Bootcamp

A couple of resources I leveraged within this training that you can use for your niche research. These include:

  • Amazon.com
  • Answers.com
  • Google.com
  • Magazines.com

If you have any questions about niches or what direction to go, please let me know and I will be more than happy to help you out.

Dear Kyle!
I have only one wish - for you to set up a plugin that would enable me to see the subtitles on you amazing video. This very important because i'm studying with great interest all the stuff in order to do a successful site.
In particular, "How to find a profitable niche".

Truly yours, Igor (sovsemdurak)

I think my niche is going to be gaming headsets. I've always loved Astro A40s and while Turtle Beaches are typically okay for an average person I went through way too many due to wear and tear. I think I could expand my niche later on into just gaming products in general with a heavy focus on the sound side of things. Any thoughts or input on this would be much appreciated.

I research a lot of learning tools and toys because I have 3 girls under 5. They r smart so I try to find learning products that feel more like play so that is one I'm thinking on, however I am really passionate about coffee and coffee related things. Even though I'm doing this to better them i kinda feel like I wanna make this about me as far as interest goes. I know there's a market for both but what do u think

Hi Cheri,

I believe the kids learning products is a great niche and potentially very profitable, as parents will always be looking for new smart ideas to improve their children's learning skills. Coffee could also be fun, as billions of people love it ) both good calls!

Hey Cheri,

I think you are right - your niche should be about what interests you the most. The things that you are most passionate about are what are going to work best for you as a niche. That way you'll be completely engaged in creating awesome content that helps people understand your niche better, learn all about the niche - and in return, you'll establish trust within your niche which will result in sales. Then you'll be able to in turn share those rewards with your daughters!

Some of my ideas for niches going on what I like and have an interest in would be essential oils, photography and books. I love smiley face products and colourful things but wonder if there could be a niche in either of these two :) Then theres also caravanning (and camping) which is a growing business here in Australia.
Reply

Any of these can be the starting point for your niche. I was just choose the one that you are most interested in, your first niche certainly does not need to be your last (and through time you will likely be involved in many different niches).

A niche like audit sounds boring and geeky but I don't see a lot this especially for IT audit - and this is one area along with IT security which I think needs more perspective. I do know great IT bloggers who are in this space but I will try giving my two cents on this..... How does the community feel about this.
Reply

Hey Welstand,

If you dig it, then it's a great idea. Doesn't matter how geeky it is. If it's something that you can help people with, then you'll probably see success from it.

Cheers,

Maybe my 'intentions and goal' so Too Broad. My beginning 'Goal' was and is to develop a Blog website, targeting personal "Peace" which I include the bible definition, Body, Soul & Spirit. My thought for the blog was to provide content for each of those target areas and have 'rotating' Links to such items for the body such as healthy recipes, supplements, diabetes, and fitness, along with 'soul' items for focus of mind set, breaking addictions, learning, and for spirit items like bible downloads, memorization, and Christian eBooks. Along with that was to build an email database of customers. Maybe I am thinking too broad??

I think that you could narrow this down a little bit here.

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

What are the "intentions and goals" of the people you are helping? WHO are they?

I always look at WHO I want to visit my website, and who I want to help. Targeting a specific group of people is a good way of narrowing down your niche.

I'm thinking along the lines of essential hiking gear made to assist a person's survivability.Anyone out in the wilderness needs warmth (outdoor clothing),shelterTents) ,heat(fire making products),water(filration devices, food( lightweight/energysources),and location devices(gps/and compass. Mayb e I need to break it down even more.

Reply
AngelaWilli1 Premium
To really refine your niche - can you target one of your favorite camping/backpacking areas and/or terrains and start there? Think of your experiences with the weather/location/terrain/wildlife - or how you would have handled camping or hiking better with certain gear if you had to go to extreme - as in if you HAD to survive in your favorite location for a longer duration than planned...I live in Southern California - and we experience a lot of wildfires. I started researching products for fire safety and emergency preparedness and could not believe what I found was out there on the market. So - one of my first Amazon stores featured products related to fire safety...it was because of what I had experienced and it was based on what I wish I had known, or had purchased, to prepare myself better. (And of course - now we are - AGAIN - encountering strong winds and horrific wildfires...so you can also educate others via your product offerings). Your own reactions and emotions from an experience can be your best guide to a niche.

As a newbie it is difficult to decide on your own without much experience what niche to target. I suggest that WA could be much more involved with guiding one where to look for niches e.g. Google Trends or 10 Trending Product Ideas - Shopify or even Clickbanks categories. Saying we should look at Amazon.com or Answers.com may not be enough. Where do you look on these sites? Finding a niche is a critical step in the WA school. Am I being unfair here?

It is never unfair to ask for more detailed information and I am sure WA (Kyle and Carson, although I am not trying to speak for them) values feedback and ideas to improve and expand training content. Great video on niches. Identifying where to locate them on the Internet is a solid tool. I have been in business development for a long time and a similar example of another industry niche: Retail stores...a niche in itself that has numerous niches [also called business segments or arenas of business] such as: supermarkets, convenience stores, mass merchandisers, club stores, drug stores etc. Each segment requires a different game plan. Each appeals to shoppers with different mind-sets, different spending parameters What I am already realizing is that WA actually guides us in this tough chore.

Good work on this particular video.

Yeah, other than Amazon the supermarket or the big box approach to the online world no longer works. It is the specialists that are reaping all of the rewards and the independent bloggers specializing in a particular niche. Things are only going to continue down this micro path (micro is relational to 3.75 billion people though, so it is still vast).

Kyle, I agree. For business purposes I keep a constant eye on activities in china. Regarding Internet business opportunities there are the big two Internet players…Alibaba Trading Group and JD.com…and several others. I know that both Companies have affiliate programs. On a recent “Singles Day” Alibaba pulled-in $25.3 billion in a single day. JD.com closed sales on the same day with $19.7 billion in sales. Staggering numbers. With what you stated, the 3.75 billion people on the Internet offers an infinite number of growth possibilities.

Something to do with the areas you like to travel (like your ideas above) or the type of travel that you like to do.

I have two options that I am considering. I have a great passion to develop and train people and encouraging the use of tools and methodoligies that simplifies work processes. I just so not know how to narrow this down.

The second one is my hobby and favourate sport, Golf. There are a bunch of avenues here so I might start with this one.

Any thoughts/advice?
Reply

I love the idea of golf, but it is a massive industry, which can be an opportunity and a risk at the same time. My advice is to start with a very narrow niche, but make your website name something a little more general so that you can expand and evolve in line with your interests.

For example, if you were going to sell golf tours, you might start with only one destination, and then add one extra destination a month as your site develops.

Think realistically about your time too, if you can write 3 reviews a week, you will need to start with something super targeted otherwise you will be all over the place. Just think about how many different drivers there are, putters, even shoes! So keep it tight and expand is my #1 tip, no matter what type of site you are planning to develop. Hope that helps a little! :)

Being a senior who is just ahead of the "Baby Boomers", that area seems like a natural for me, but it is definitely pretty broad, and I would welcome advice on how best to narrow it down. Also, I bred and raced Thoroughbred horses for 20 years, and gained a lot of knowledge in that area. I also became a very good handicapper. That's another possibility - how to win at the track. Any thoughts on that? I'm also an avid fisherman, of the everyday variety, not championship/trophy type fishing.
Reply
gcd Premium
Hi Frank, each one of those is a great idea for a niche. I would take one that you're passionate about and start with that. Then move onto the next one.
For example - I am sitting at the tail end of the baby boomer era myself so it makes sense to me too. It is broad so you would need to narrow down to something specific to baby boomers e.g. we all are familiar with records (vinyl), hi-fi's, radio (gramophone) etc. so this could be a targeted niche to baby boomers. Alternatively, it could be a wealth strategy. Find something that is close to the heart of a baby boomer and target that.
Fishing is a HUGE niche - I've watched fishermen on the coast spend hours fishing, lugging their equipment (usually multiple rods and reels etc. - which are expensive) for the pleasure of fishing. I also watch boats with fishing equipment going past (daily!). So I know that this is a popular niche and one that can be very profitable indeed. If your passion is there, it's easy for you to write about "the one that got away" and many other fishing stories to add value to your site.
Racehorses, I can only try to imagine what this one could mean for you. We've just had a huge event in Australia, the Melbourne Cup, and I know how much money goes into that, so to be on the other side (horse owner/rider/trainer), there must be huge investments in that. You'll definitely know better having been in the game yourself.
As you can see, you're on to a winner no matter which niche you choose. I would start with the one that is easiest for you to write about. It will grow quickly and you'll gain confidence to move to your next site.
Wishing you every success, whichever you choose. I think you'll do very well with all three of those.

Hello Frank!
Gary just gave you some great advice! Two days ago I did exactly what he said; After racking my brain for a while about a niche, I thought about what I was good at and knew the most about. Then I wrote that down. That became my niche and my mind just focused on that one thing and ideas began to flow.
Then checked out Jaaxy (over on the left of your screen, below "Tool" and found out how that works and joined. Key words from Jaaxy about my niche then brought me in line with what defined my niche. Yesterday I started my first website and its been fun setting it up today.
Great advice from Gary and I hope the best for you Frank!

Then I will look for an affiliate that I could show these attires in my website in four different seasons with some accessories of course.

The other niche I picked out is about seniors since I'm one.. I'm promoting an idea of fun and health is wealth. Does anyone have any suggestion?

Hello Ophelia, both niches are workable, but being a senior myself I would tend to lean towards the one that promotes fun, heath and wealth.

Hi, I was wondering if you wanted to have one of your niches as a money matters ( to be clear, I meant giving people advice on how to get out of debt, stop repossessions and to get them looking at money and how they use it differently) would one need to be a Financial adviser? I would not be giving financial advice as in portfolios etc but more about steps to get your money under control, I also have a potential affiliate for a company that stops repos etc but need to know where the lines would be in offering advice tools and tips and then sending them to my affiliate links for more in-depth information. Asking as I'm not wanting to find myself on the wrong end of a lawsuit

It maybe something to check re: laws where you are perhaps?

A simple disclaimer maybe sufficent but it’s always best to do your due diligence.

in America would you need to check state law and federal law for example ?

Thanks for the reply, I'm in the UK and from what I can see if you are offering tips but not actual financial advise the lines seem pretty wavy, maybe if I offer up the disclaimer and do the for more in depth information click .... then I'm not seen as giving financial advice in the legal sense of the word. Hmmm must research more

It seems like what you're offering is simply a matter of opinion as far as your site is concerned and that should be fine as long as you have some form of disclaimer on the page in the event that you offer specific advise, i.e. stock quotes, investment recommendations etc.
I would, however, double check on the affiliate company that you mentioned and how your business relationship is constructed. That's something that you need to cover with them. Hope that helps. Best, V

sounds like you want to help people get out of trouble, get out of debt, by showing them some examples and showing them a number of affiliates that you attached yourself to. I wondered if you have to ask permission from the affiliate first.

Essentially yes, that particular site I'm thinking of doing would be blogs/ info on how to change your money mindset, how to conquer your debts by using a reverse pyramid payment method.
For example one of the things I was going to write about was what a rather wealthy friend of mine once taught me when I was feeling like I was getting in over my head ( there is a story as to why but for now that is not important, let's just say I had 'help' racking up a few debts). I digress, so in essence most folks are told things like decide how much money you can pay on the debts and then divide it equally, well I was able to get out of debt a lot faster by simply deciding how much I could afford and then putting the minimal amount on the others and paying the biggest amount on the smallest. In just a few months that debt was wiped, so then I took that same amount of money and applied the largest amount to the next smallest and so on and so on until all the money was being put on the biggest debt until it was wiped out.

Another thing was a different take on the pay yourself first or make a game out of money by collecting it instead of chasing it... so nothing that could be construed as financial advice per se but more tips and tricks to get your money under control.

As for the stopping the repo thing its actually more of a referral where they pay you 1% of the property value when its sold, doesn't sound like much but if you do the math on a 200k house that is a nice little earner if I can make it work. The beauty of it is that is would save someone from going bankrupt and having a house repo'd, the way it's set up is that the person that goes through the process also gets money out of the resale value of the house. It appeals to my wanting to actually help folks and not screw them over. In case anyone is wondering the guy is a multi millionaire and his mentor is Branson so I'm not worried about him being a scam artist.
Wow so that was a bit long winded but I just wanted to give you guys a sense of what I'm thinking of doing and how I was hoping it would play out. If anyone has ever done or thought about this sort of thing then I would really love some ideas or feedback on the concept...... my ears and mind are open...

I had an idea of what a niche was, but this video really drove it home and cleared up some things for me. I have a couple of ideas for sites but will need to drill down a little I think to get more specific.

Being a DJ, sound engineer, and overall music lover, one idea I had relates to DJ and sound reinforcement gear. I understand now that I would certainly need to narrow things down because those are two different niches and I could easily get overwhelmed with the amount of information out there.

Another idea has to do with my love of hunting, the outdoors, and firearms. Again, this is something I would need to narrow down because I just named three different niches right there!

This video has definitely given me some food for thought.

My son and I do a lot of science kits and we follow a few kid-friendly, geeky You-Tubers online. He asked for a science website so I think we can do STEM and STREAM toys and kits for his age range on his page.
I spent enough Christmases researching gift ideas in the past I feel like I should have written a book about it already. lol

For my page, I want to build my ebook audience and provide relevant content with regards to my experience writing short stories (writer's block, structure, ups and downs, and reviews), as one idea.

I will have a better idea after the Build Your Website section as that always jams me up when I set out to promote and market online.

I can relate to the STEM website because that's what my wife teaches at a local elementary school. She has come back home with so many cool lessons and ideas that I wish I could've had the chance to experience growing up. Great idea!

I know, right! It's really cool. I'm fascinated by all the gizmos they come out with and how they apply to development. STREAM is the latest I think. It adds a robotics element to the acronym. Watching my son play and learn fro mall the unique toys over the years has been pretty awesome. It would be great if I could get more into reviewing and suggesting stuff.
Kudos to the Mrs. That is a career choice I would have made if exposed to it like my son is growing up.
Christmas is coming up. You would likely have a great niche doing it too since people are going to be looking for stuff to buy and she's already an excellent resource.

So, my niche is definitely going to be computer shoppers! It may be quite a task, but I really don't want to be focusing on just one type of shopper. I'd like to cover the spectrum. I.e. someone who isn't familiar with technology to those who want to build and compile their own rigs. Has anyone done anything like this? Not necessarily with computers, but with targeting newbies all of the way to experts? And, if so, do you have any pointers?

Thanx,

Sounds good. That is a large niche, so you may want to drill down into a few areas and then expand each one out over time. I find the main menu is a great way to do this. Put the key topic areas into the menu and then work on each one as you feel inspired. Good luck!

Hey Adam,
I would suggest checking out a few YouTube videos.
When I search for stuff like headphones, after I search different forums, I like to see YouTube videos of product testers. You might get some category ideas (say electronics vs automotive supplies) and tailor your blog to a market segment. I'd look over Bloomberg maybe for any projected market forecasts for the next few years to see if shoppers are trending up in that category (whatever you decide).
Also, ask the community for other ideas. I have already been sent a ton of helpful blog posts from the admins here and a few others.
Best of luck.

I think my niche would be crafts. I've been a huge crafter ever since I can remember and am highly passionate about it. I do many different crafts though, everything from jewelry/beading, to cross stitch, to drawing/zentangle, and all kinds of crafts in general. I'm not sure I could narrow it down to just one craft, I'm passionate about them all!

Hi.
I haven't signed up yes as I wanted to get an idea of how your "system" worked.
I have to say that I am somewhat disappointed in your niche selection strategy as there is absolutely no scientific process involved. It all seems too hit and miss, please correct me if I am wrong?
To state that "there is no wrong niche to get into" seems quite absurd since it's very easy to waste a ton of time writing content, doing SEO and building site after site only to discover that your niches and/ or affiliate programs are unprofitable.
I have no intention whatsoever of criticizing your program here and I am sure that you know what you are doing and are very successful but a few years ago (I won't mention the course) which I assume is very much no longer available. In that course we were taught how to select a niche based on profit per sale, traffic, buyer demographics etc. It was a time consuming part of the process but It did actually work.
I sold my site 2 years later for a lot of money and got out of IM after that.
Your answers will be greatly appreciated and I do hope to become a member soon?

Hey Peter,

That is one of the benefits of trying WA out for FREE for 7 whole days of FREE lessons.

Even then you may decide to sign up for only a month and then quit ... and you CAN do that too ... and, you can take your website with you. No one will force you to stay.

There's even an easy to follow tutorial on quitting so you can be certain to stop all future payments.

You've nothing to fear about being burnt here at WA ... of that I can assure you ... especially when I have been burned before by sites that promise lots and provide less.

Here at WA you will find members are willing to help each other and business owners (Kyle and Carson!) communicating with all premium members regularly.

You will even find more in depth help selecting a niche than that given during these initial lessons.

And ... on that note, I offer you the following tutorial: Hope this helps you.

Hey Peter,

The idea of picking a niche as described here is to pick one that you are comfortable with but more importantly, something that you are passionate about. There's plenty of opportunities to monetise any niche in a large number of ways, especially when you start getting into the accessory market, but that is just one option (as I'm sure you know). Yes, there is a chance that a niche may fail, but that might not necessarily be because the niche itself is bad.

I'm sure you've probably gone even further into the training since writing this comment so hopefully you've come across articles that explain creating a value based business rather than just 'going for the most bucks'. With the exchange of true value, the money must follow.

I'm curious as to why you sold the previous site? Was it something that you weren't interested in maintaining or something along those lines? Also, what was the niche? If it is something that you can make money out of, why don't you do that again?

Some people are here out of desperation to make cash and others are here to create a lifestyle business. All of the training included in the premium membership gives you a solid foundation to basically 'choose your own adventure' and gives you the best strategies to make your niche work. Like I said before, there are many reasons why a website may not be profitable and it has nothing to do with niche.

I'd love to talk to you more about it, so please let me know your thoughts.

Cheers,

Peter

Hi Peter,
Many thanks for the reply and advice.
Actually it was a niche that I had absolutely no interest in and there were often problems with the product quality. It was an eCommerce site and therefore on occasion I had to talk with customers (from a different country). Basically it became a pain to operate.
It did however make profits and lots of sales (from $200 to $1500 per sale) and I was building an asset.
I have a niche in mind that I would enjoy working in but I am not convinced that I'd make serious cash from it. Using my old formula will probably confirm that.
I'm just not one for wasting time ))
Maybe I will disclose the niche later ))

"no scientific process involved" is a little misleading. The truth is that people buy EVERYTHING online, from baby diapers to fencing material, so literally, ANY niche can be profitable.

If you were to look into a formula on what's the "best" way to make money, pretty much all paths lead to the most common niches:

Lose weight
Make money online
Get back with your ex

That's why those examples pop up so frequently. They are very profitable, but also highly competitive.

So the question is, why would we say "make the most money by selling guides on how to get back with your ex", when that's going to bore a lot of people?

Would you rather promote grand pianos online, as a high-ticket item that you have no interest in, or would you rather research and write about something you care about?

I have seen some very diverse topics people choose here in WA become profitable, many of which I would have never thought of myself. So it's important to give people a full view of what they can choose to make money online with, rather than restrict them to a few topics!

The niche idea I'd love to pursue is beginners makeup. Its such a MASSIVE world out there with tons of products that can seem overwhelming at first, but I have a good grasp on a lot of these products and the budgeting side of it as well. Any feedback on my idea?

Some tips and tricks like muli usage of makeup products, but mostly focusing on the products themselves. Makeup can be expensive and not everyone can afford the best name brands out there. But there are a lot of cheaper alternatives that are just as good quality if not better than some of the $60 makeup products out there, the problem is weeding through the bad products out there. Also, Makeup has no rules, and that's the biggest problem I've come across in the industry. Everyone thinks one product is just for that one purpose, but any product could be used for various other things as well.

Ok so I have a question. I understand niches that involve actual products, tangible products. In your video Kyle, you talk about how to become a great coach and things like that. How does something like that become a niche, what do you redirect the customers to? What do you want them to buy? TIA (:

My understanding is that you should find a niche that reflects something you are passionate about. If that is becoming a great coach then your blog should reflect regular coaching tips etc. Great coach on what ? Getting fit? Cars? Dogs? You need to focus on what you are happy to talk about for years if necessary. For electronic products such as a course on becoming a coach, check out Click bank.
Best of luck.

My biggest lesson is to learn not to complicate things. I use to spend a lot of time over analyzing. I have returned with a different attitude...more relaxed and try to enjoy the process instead of focusing on the end result....it's about the journey more than anything.

Absolutely, people tend to over analyze the process and make things more difficult than they need to be. That goes for everything from niche selection to actually building out your website and the make money process itself.

All niches have a ton of opportunity (and are in high demand) within them. There are 3.75 BILLION people online and we are all now more connected than ever. This is the audience you are dealing with the Internet and even some of the most obscure niches have millions of people interested in them.

You should read about this here within a blog post I recently created on this exactly topic: YOU make a niche profitable and that is why it is important that you decide on a niche that you are interested in/passionate about. It will make the journey that much more fun and exciting. ;)

1. Guitar pedals
2. Snoring solutions

Isn't it profitable to take in to account things like: choosing a problem as your niche would bring higher conversion rates, as they'll buy the product if it solves their problem. On the other hand, guitarists already know what pedals want to buy.
or
Selling something as vegan protein sources would assure a steadier revenue.

Are statements like this good to take in to account when picking my niche or should I go with whatever I feel like and learn more significant things on the road?
Reply
PeterK77 Premium
Hey Catalin,

Solving problems is the key to internet and all marketing really. I have to ask if you're actually interested in stop snoring solutions or have you picked that because you are thinking that it might sell well? The reason I ask is because you will have to do a lot of research about stopping snoring and write 100's of posts to make it work for you and if you're not that interested, you'll lose interest and possibly give up on that niche.

So... I see that you're a musician (as am I) and I think you would be far more passionate talking about guitar pedals. I've worked in music retail and there are always huge amounts of people that don't actually know what they want and are happy to be shown recommendations from people that can play music (and then buy from them). Having said that, you could do posts reviewing guitar pedals and sell them and build an online reputation for someone that knows guitar pedals inside and out and you would be the 'go to' guy to find out what the latest pedal is, and then you can refer particular pedals for particular musical situations - i.e. what would a metal player use, what would a country player use, what would a jazz guy use and so on.

You could make a huge business out of that. There are millions of guitarists in the world that are just starting out and don't know which pedal to choose and you can help them to choose the right pedal for them. Choosing the right pedal just may be the problem you are solving for someone.

As a side note, once you have built the reputation as the 'guitar pedal guru', (and it might take a little while) then you can start recommending other products such as guitar amps, strings, tuners and heaps of other accessories. Straps, recording devices, practice apps, metronomes - the list is endless. Because you have developed a relationship with people as the guitar pedal guru, they will trust you and buy your recommendations through you affiliate links as well.

Sounds like way more fun to me than to stop people from snoring...!

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Peter

Wow dude, thanks! Eye opening comment :))
I actually helped a friend who thought he found a great 2nd hand already built pedalboard, to make one that will fulfill him better for the same money. He was very grateful afterwards.

So I will begin competing with the people I see making pedal reviews on youtube, or not all the people that make content are looking for selling things? I feel like I tapped in to a large topic right now:))
Reply
PeterK77 Premium
I wouldn't think of it as competition. Lots of different people have different wants and needs and connect differently with different people. Establishing trust is the first step. If you've come across videos where you've seen someone and you know that they are straight out trying to sell you something, it's probably put you off, right? If you can truly be of value and genuinely help people to find what is right for them (like you did with your friend), then you establish trust and a good reputation and people will seek your advice and then in turn buy from you and they'll be grateful to you as well!

The guys you probably watch right now that are doing reviews are probably selling things, but when you get stuck into the training here, you'll learn how to easily out-rank them on YouTube and on your website but remember that it is a long term thing and it's something that you really need to stick at before you start seeing the results.

That's why I asked about the snoring thing, because if you were doing that because you thought it was a 'cash cow', then you'd pretty soon realize that you're doing a ton of work and not seeing results and probably give up easily, whereas if you are passionate about your niche (which I believe you are), then you still have to work just as hard, but it's a lot easier to keep going and break through barriers even when you don't see an immediate return for your work. You gotta stick at it to make it work man.

There's way too many people in this game that think that they're going to make a quick buck and serve themselves, but they get sick of doing the work. And that's why they quit. And then they say 'I didn't make any money'. And then they say 'it doesn't work'. If you're in it to really genuinely help people from the start AND you are passionate about it, then you will definitely see the return - it's just the truth that it won't happen overnight and you have to stick with it.

I think you're going to do well. Keep up with the training and you'll eventually be killing it.
