Hey there,
As you start to produce content for certain keywords, it's natural to wonder how your posts are ranking in Google.
We focus on Google since it is the largest and most used search engine. In this demonstration, I'm using Chrome Browser on PC.
Steps To Check Your Rank on Google
- Open a 'New Incognito Window'.
- Search for your keyword
- Browse the results until you find your site
If you are NOT using an incognito window, your search results may not reflect actual search results. You might find that you see some of your G+ posts and/or the actual rank is not correct.
You can also use a program like Jaaxy to check your site's ranking for particular keywords but I always find it more validating to do it this way as well.

It's rather frustrating to skim ten or twenty pages and not find anything.
What I do is this: I search for my keyword, but instead of going to the next page, I add this to the end of the URL:
&num=200
And then press enter
This will display 200 results to your search.
You can now try to find your website.
If it's not there, you just saved yourself skimming through 19 pages or search results!
I was very happy when I found this little trick. I hope it helps you guys!
