We now have our list of products that we want to look at a little deeper, so lets head over toCbTrends Product Performance this will allow us to look at the product graphs and see how it has done over time and if they have done any changes to their affiliate payouts.

All I need is the vendor ID that I save to notepad to get the graphs, just put it in Enter the Vendor ID and click Get Performance Trends.

This opens a new window that gives me general information on the product, the time frame of the information in this case from 11/07 to 2/10 and 6 graphs.

As you can see from the first graph on the left, the product has drop a little in popularity over time from 15 and now sits at 19, the lower the number the better this is very good at 19 but I want a product that is in the single digets. The graph to the right is the number of affiliates that are promoting it, I like this number high this is a good indication their making money, this one is not to bad and after a steady decline its heading up again.

The middle graph on the right is the earned per sale, and you need to pay close attentioin to this, in this example it started at around $35.00 and reached a high of $39.00 but has been droping steadly since and is at $34.00 and going down, this means refunds are on the increase. The graph to the right of it is the number of affiliates promoting it, what I don't like about what I see is refunds going up and number of affiliates promoteing it increasing, but if the refunds don't drop much more this could be a good one to promote.

The last graph tells me that he has not changed his affiliate payouts they have stayed at 70% this is something you want to check, some of the vendors will decrease the payout once their product starts selling good.

Over all I would consider this one.

Now here is another product if you look at the popularity it has decreased a small amount as of late but it still has a 3 this is a good sign, it has a lot of affiliates promoting it, and the earned per sale has stayed at $24.00, which means low refunds and he has not changed his affiliate payout. This is one I would have no problem promoting.

This one is just plain bad, its popularity never was very high, not very many affiliates promoting it, earned per sale is all over the place from a spiked high of $26.00 to a low of $17.00 this one I would stay clear of.

Next lets take a look at some other tools you can use.
