Before you ask, no, I’m not leaving

In this video you’re going to learn how to cancel your Wealthy Affiliate membership and stop billing.

Every day there are new members joining Wealthy Affiliate. And every day there are a few people who want to leave.

Follow These Steps

One thing that must be discussed so that the community isn't deceitful is to speak and teach about how Jaaxy, SEMRush, Ahrefs and Moz are PARAMOUNT to your success - and this all adds about 300 dollars to your monthly start-up fees.

I am realising now that, without these tools, there is little chance to rank first page, let alone drive any significant amount of traffic.

I know Jay speaks about these tools in his webinars, but I believe they really should be talked about in the Certification Course.

Right now I am considering buying hosting elsewhere, closing out my WA account and instead investing that money into SEMRush and things like that.

Thoughts/comments/advice are welcomed from SEASONED VETERANS at WA ONLY please.

Thanks!

You don't need SEMRush, Ahrefs, Moz and Jaaxy to be successful! Why on earth would you duplicate tools that effectively do the same thing. Select one tool and work with that. :)

Thank you for the info. I think Wealthy Affiliate is great. I just need to temporarily cancel because I'm working on a short-term job search and can't do everything at once. It takes a long time to build this in order to get a steady income from the sites so I can't make it my priority right now. But I will be back! :-) Thanks so much!

Thank you for this. I don't intend to leave any time soon, but I was wondering if I would be able to transfer the domain some day if I wanted to. I do hope to build a site that earns me money, but if it doesn't... not sure i will be able to pay the membership forever..... but would like to keep my website.
Thanks,

You can keep the registration of your website at WA even if you're no longer a premium member. But you would have to move the website itself to a different hosting company.

The site has to be registered with WA for 60 days before it can be moved. In this case, what happens if you cancel your premium subscription but you haven't met the 60 day requirement. It cannot be moved yet and no longer hosted by WA. Hmmm???

The hosting of the site can be moved but the registration of the domain name cannot be transferred to another registrar until the 60 days have passed. You can have your domain name registered with a different company to where you have your site hosted.

Hello Marion, I am planning to cancel my membership, do I need to move my site to different host before cancellation or I can deal with it later on? Thank you

If you want your website to stay live without disruptions then do the backup and organize your new hosting before your website is deleted from the servers.

Thanks Marion for showing us how to cancel my WA membership. I have bookmarked you training video for future use if I should ever decide to cancel.
My only question is if I do for some reason decide to cancel my membership is there a way to still save my websites in case I ever decide to come back or is it better to just start all over from scratch?

You should still have the 2 that we get free upon signing up. I'm pretty sure you will loose the premium benefits which makes sense if cancelled. :-)

Back up your website regularly using WP Clone even if you're not planning to leave WA

Thank you for posting this. Although I haven't yet signed up for premium (and am about to) I don't like to sign onto recurring charges until I know how to cancel them. It's a thing.
