Deliver Results to Grow your Brand

As we each personally grow professionally as leaders within the online business entrepenuer industry, using the resources within the Wealthy Affiliate Community to drive personal motivation, inspiration, growth and ambition, we each have an opportunity to grow and teach as a leader in a variety of categories.

Our individual levels of experience and competence will help other as a leaders to grow in a variety of ways within the community.

Based on the many conversations, requests for help, suggestions and in-general, areas of challenge, that I have personally taken notice of within this industry, is the overwhelming desire to identify thedrive, inspiration and motivation to build accountability into personal habits.

An example for how others have identified Accountability Partners or shared Personal Accountability Commitments for personal motivation can be seen in a basic search I performed within the Wealthy Affiliate Community below.

From my experience, one option is to open conversations with other leaders within the community to share and brainstorm goals, plan daily - weekly - and monthly commitments for self but be accountable through reporting status to those partners; in other words scheduling, a simple conversation about my personal progress against my goals.

Another method is to utilize the "Goals" function and tool on our personal Wealthy Affiliate profile page to Create goals that are visible to our network and visitors, then status and track against them.

Afterall, when we work for ourselves, we are first accountable to ourselves, as the primary stakeholder to our business, and secondly to our audience, partners and consumers.

Overall satisfying the desire to find a drive and motivation to build that accountability into our personal habits means we must first recognize that we are not perfect, lol.

Each of us must be willing to:

  1. Recognize within ourselves the risk to self-accountability to resolve
  2. Give ourselves permission to take action or multiple actions to mitigate that risk

Ultimately, as we each find the drive that works for us uniquely, we can then use that same proven process with our business, as it relates to fulfilling commitments to our customers.

This lesson will provide additional suggestions and discussion points about how to build accountability into our partnering teams to maintain motivation between each other and ultimately drive into delivering results into our businesses.

Be an enthusiastic and articulate advocate for collaboration.

To prevent ourselves and partners from slipping back into those old silos to achieve goals when time is tight, consider providing frequent reminders of how much more can be accomplished when diverse teams come together to create new, superior solutions and approaches.

How can you do this?

  • Create Blog Posts surrounding the topic and geared toward motivation to help others continue to grow (i.e. what experience did you have and what solution did you try?)
    • Brainstorm problems unique to your business with a partner to gain the insight of an outside perspective
    • Use the "Ask a Question" forum within Wealthy Affiliate to obtain many inputs from within the WA Community

Topics for Discussion: What experiences, resources or modes of communication have you had the experience of using within Wealthy Affiliate to help others become an enthusiastic and articulate advocate for collaboration?

Drive efficiency and integration into your habits.

The best way to drive efficiency and integration into your business and personal habits is by openly sharing and discussing what’s working well across boundaries.

Work with other leaders within the Wealthy Affiliate Community to create an open forum for posting best practices, sharing actionable ideas and new technologies, answering frequently asked questions, acknowledging achievements and seeking help in overcoming common challenges.

My experience within the Wealthy Affiliate community is that these measures are deeply engrained within the resources and communications, layout and structure of the website and modeled into the best practices we use in our communications (this is a great place to start building the habits into our own personal routines).

Another example is to create a daily, weekly or other checklist and share your examples with others to model, like the one below.

    Topics for Discussion:

Have you participated in a specific post related to driving efficiency and integration into your habits, such as a common post requesting shared comments or to engage with other WA Members social media profiles? If so, share the link in a discussion thread below.

Are there different modes of resources for different categories, such as new technology versus answering FAQs, versus acknowledgeing achievements versus seeking help in overcoming common challenges?

    Recognize Your Partners

As we have discussed in many instances throughout this course, building motivation, giving and recieving feedback are key to growth.

Take an active and assertive role in minimizing one of the most common obstacles to successful team collaboration-resource hoarding.

Recognize and reward those who successfully share experiences across the Wealthy Affiliate Community and look for opportunities to supplement shared resources with additional assets and support as needed and appropriate.

As you will find, if you haven't already, there are added benefits to recognizing, personally thanking through an email, profile message or blog post, those that take the time to collaborate and share their thoughts and personal experiences.

Taking the time for a simple "Thank you" can sometimes make a persons entire day, in addition showing other new WA Members the power of collaboration.

    Deliver on commitments.

What would you consider a commitment? It could be something as simple as making a promise to post one gratitude post per day, completing a single training session for yourself per day, responding to all of your post comments daily, providing feedback on one website per week... the list goes on and on...

What are your daily, weekly, monthly or other goals to make and successfully deliver on commitments to all your stakeholders, including yourself?

We must create a culture where we listen to our customers and partner with them and respond with agility and purpose to meet their needs.

Beginning to practice this new habit, or get better at it, within the Wealthy Affiliate community is a terrific opportunity to start.

Something to keep in mind is to intentionally and clearly communicate or document your personal expectations related to the commitment to avoid misunderstandings or shortfalls in delivering on the commitment. Remember, just because you see a blue sky doesn't mean the sky is blue... it might be midnight-blue or hazy-light-blue.

    Topics for Discussion:

What is a commitment you recently made to a partner or someone other than yourself, that you have deliverd on?

What challenges did you face and what did you decide to do change?
