Holy Moly! Lesson 6! You're doing good! Don't stop your progress! Just a few more lessons!
Building Trust
You want your visitors to create a positive association with your website, your logo and your brand, right? We all do! You need to ensure that YOUR BRAND is associated with high quality. High quality content, people! Moving on...
Unfortunately, visitors will judge you based on the quality of your post, blogs, YouTube videos, any kind of content. Your knowledge, expertise and honesty will be questioned and under scrutiny. Don't let this scare you, please! If you write low quality content, they will associate your brand, logo, site, and whatever else you may venture into, as not worth their time. So, write high quality content! I can not say this enough!
Here is a short list on building trust,(another one? Yes!) doesn't include everything:
- Building consistency (throughout your website)
- Commitment
- Reliability
- Integrity
- Honesty
- Your expertise
- Your knowledge
- Research your topic!
- Post at least 3 times a week (unique and different)
All of these combined will be your 'calling card'. Your style. Your commitment. This is what will keep your visitors coming back.
Engage your visitors! This will help build trust. Answer their questions. Respond to their comments. Tell a little about yourself once in awhile. Keep an eye on what your visitors are saying in social media. Respond there too! Run surveys in social media to find out what your visitors want or don't want to see.
Another way to build trust, under promise & over deliver. Give your visitors a free ebook for stopping by. Always find a way to give more than you promise. It will go a long way!
Promotional gifts are another great way to build trust and under promise/over deliver and increase brand loyalty. Yea, remember the brand! You can use items such as:
- Pens
- Shirts
- Ball caps
- Cups
- And more...
All of this will increase trust and brand loyalty.
And, we can't forget the good old mailing list! This is great for emailing marketing! This is a very effective tool because you are reaching your visitors in their inbox instead of on social media.
Before we go to the next lesson, the tasks have arrived....
Are your visitors creating positive associations with your site?
Are your posts/articles unique, different and high quality?
Are you consistent?
Discuss how you would under promise and over deliver.
Discuss mailing lists and how they can be effective.
