Now you have started a local template and you want to create a template post unique to your site, that you can use over and over again for a post style that you will use frequently.
Yes - this is similar to a reusable block - but you can use the template and edit it slightly each time you use it and it will not change every location that you have used the template before (like a reusable block will - you have to be careful with them....)
Note: the local template - is just that local to each site, so you need to build separate local templates for each site.
Build your local template
You build your template like you would build any other post.
Personally I usually start with a container - because they are so versatile (background - spacing etc.) I have to admit I love the container features of GenerateBlocks.
The container is part of the 4 core blocks that come with GenerateBlocks free.
You build your reusable template just like any other post that you want to use. Using any block that you want to incorporate inside of it. If you put images inside it is ok because you can replace them later when you reuse the template. Add a button with a link and you can change the link to the botton each time you reuse the template, or leave it the same. It is up to you.
Any block can be incorporated into the template and you can adjust the settings of that block to a different link / photo / URL each time you use the template.
Simply save it when you want a break, or when you are finished with it.
Here is a screenshot of a reusable template I built today to demonstrate. It is to showcase different watches. I have reused the same photo over - but normally would show different photos.
