That's an excellent point. Sometimes it is best to pay for a Fiverr gig rather than doing it yourself. One could mess up the website, and the speed could get even worse!

Yeah me neither. A couple plugins that have been recommended for improving site speed are W3 cache, and to optimize images you could try WP Smush.

Test your speed before and after and see if it helps.

There could be compatibility issues sometimes because of the plug-ins you have already installed, which often causes the problem.

W3 cache may be in conflict with some plugins that have their own caching built into them. The results could be disastrous.

This is great, thanks for the info. I didn't even know Google had this feature. I've been given a couple different sites to test speed but why not just use what Google has to offer. I would imagine this would be the most accurate speed testing site to go to.
