Is there any harm in putting affiliate links in comments vs linking to a review of a product? Does Google mind that?

For example, I answered a question on my site and wanted to send the person to a particular FAQ on the site I'm affiliated to. If I did that using my affiliate link, would it harm me in any way?

You can link to anything you like - it's your site do what you want it's not going harm anything
