Hi, Everyone...

This is my promised tutorial on Facebook Groups…It is intended to get the uninitiated introduced to the concept and tool, and then offer a series of hints and tips to make the most of them for your online marketing business, whether you are pursuing affiliate marketing or another online marketing segment…

Note it does go into quite a bit of detail, and I am adding to it as I get access to the Internet again, I have had some hardware problems for 5 days now, quite frustrating to say the least...But I will work through them and add more content as possible...

This is likely too much for one visit by the way...Take your time and read one section at a time and absorb the information, then apply it...See what you think and leave some feedback in the comment section please...

Also let me know that the training was worth something (if it was) by liking it too please...You can offer suggestions for improvement and I will respond/act. Enjoy and let's get busy!

LET’S START WITH THE BASICS – WHY CARE ABOUT FACEBOOK GROUPS?

If you are like me, you have Facebook Pages that support and add to your overall marketing program for your business. You may be thinking this is enough or too much…

Having a Facebook group may seem like too much work or overkill…You may ask yourself why not just create a Facebook group and forget the Facebook page? Well, the reason to have both is that they accomplish different things.

The focus for a Facebook group and a Facebook page are different, and the results you get will be different. Therefore, as with your website which likely anchors your entire presence online, consider each as an integral piece of the bigger picture…

Groups will get you much a higher engagement level than a page, and there are a number of other uses for the group that you will not get with your Facebook page. User feedback, testing, engagement user or fan base is better served using a Facebook group over a Facebook page.

Facebook Groups are normally made up of like-minded members, and together are a community, and free talk, concerns, discussions, advice, and guidance are possible that you simply cannot get with a Facebook Page…

If you are an entrepreneur like I am, using Facebook Groups you can gather a lot of insight on what your target audience is looking for. You will learn about their problems, their struggles, and the hot topics that are of interest to them.

This alone makes creating a Group attractive and necessary for me…If you were to hire a firm to gather such information, it would cost you an arm and a leg. As a small business, this data is priceless to your future marketing and product focus.

You can also build solid relationships that can turn into more business opportunities as members grow their businesses, and the support you provide one another can be essential (much like we have here at Wealthy Affiliate)…

Bottom Line…

So I think it is crucial that when considering creating a Facebook Group, you need to think through WHY you are creating it and what the goals are. From there you can develop a strategy, a plan, and tasks for accomplishing your strategy and goals.

Certainly you will want to make people feel welcome, you will want to let them know what the rules are, what the purpose of the group is, and add enough valuable content that they will immediately see the value of joining.

For more understanding, let’s dig a bit into Facebook Pages and Groups on the next page ==>

Nice! I'm a member of way too many groups, and I've found that telling my news feed to show me "most recent" really keeps me in tune with what's being posted in groups.
