We've all heard it before: backlinks help you rank, and social bookmarking is where it's at. But who has the time to manually backlink from dozens, or hundreds of social bookmarking sites? Sure, if you already use a few, it's not difficult to go in and throw up a few favorite links, but how many people do that?
Here's my problem with social bookmarking, and maybe yours is the same. It takes time to set up accounts on multiple social bookmarking sites. I have to remember emails and passwords that aren't always the same. I have to follow their requirements for submission, and every site has a different way to submit. It's a hassle for me, I only have so many hours in the day where I can work on affiliate marketing, and why should I spend them jumping through hoops?
I was ready to give up on social bookmarking for backlinks, until someone suggested SocialMonkee to me. SocialMonkee has been extremely helpful for me in getting backlinks to my mini sites and articles, without jumping through hoops or wasting time.
SocialMonkee is a social bookmarking service that's done either through their web interface, or through a Firefox plugin. The system is free, but like most of what's out there, it has a premium upsell that allows you to submit to more sites. The free version allows you to submit to 25 social bookmarking sites, once per day. The premium version allows you to submit to 100 social bookmarking sites, 3 times per day.
If you're curious about how to useSocialMonkee to your advantage, read on.
I haven't used it on articles yet, but I think that would be an excellent use for it. Since articles don't usually need a lot of backlinks, one submission with SocialMonkee should be enough to help them rank.
