4. Make Your URLs Short and Descriptive
Google advises site owners to opt for shorter URLs as against long ones.
That means you have fewer words to play around for your URLs. Remember that you have to factor the search queries while competing for keywords that relate to your business.
Describe your URL as clearly as possible, while ensuring that your keywords are featured in them. Do not forget to model your URL to capture the search intent.
5. Make Use of Multiple Internal Links
Internal links originate from your post contents while pointing to other websites. They usually point to authority sites that have relevant information to your site's contents.
Google uses internal and external links as important metrics for determining a web page search ranking.
Also, you can use internal links to provide helpful resources to your visitors by directing them to the source of your information.
To build internal links, focus on authority sites that are related to your niche, keywords, or information.
6. Fix the Loading Speed of Your Site
Loading speed is a search ranking factor Google has been using since 2010.
A site that takes forever to load is a turn-off, and likely to experience dwindling traffic.
The factors that affect site speed include the site's codes, the sizes and amount of images, server location, or the server itself.
For those factors that fall under the purview of your web hosting provider, you may have to reach out to their support team for assistance.
On your own, you can have the codes of your side organized with redundant codes removed. Also, ensure to reduce the size of your images by compressing them.
The use of a CDN (Content Delivery Network) will help in copying the critical resources of your site across a network of servers, so they can be locally loaded.
I have about 18 posts on 2 websites, half of which are indexed. Honestly, I don't know how, all I did was title SEO, included the title in the 1st paragraph and wherever possible throughout the post without KW stuffing.
If my memory serves me the descriptions are on auto, after that ??????. This is all I’ve done thus far. Can you recommend any next step, maybe a training to follow or, does WA training cover this - currently I’ve just started lesson 3.
I am now following your success :)

Great post!
My desktop speed is ok but my mobile page speed is about 35-40. Google states that my images need to be compressed. I use the Kraken Image optimizer plugin and I don't really put more than 5 or 6 images in a post, typically thumbnails. Is there a better image compression plugin that you can recommend? All my website pages always load very quickly on my iPhone, and I've tried it in three different states.
Thanks,
Frank
