I’ve been a member of Wealthy Affiliate for nine months now. My focus has been more on the educational part since my only exposure to marketing was an elective Marketing class that I took in college. We don’t talk about how long ago that was but I did ace the class.
I’ve also leaned more toward the marketing of Wealthy Affiliate. Needing to add a little cash to the crib, so to speak, I came up with the idea of building a monetized website using what I’ve learned at Wealthy Affiliate. I would go about this using the following outline as a guide:
- Actively research and develop a marketable niche.
- Actually use the product which included learning it if I didn’t have the experience.
- Research thoroughly for domain names.
- Purchase the domain(s).
- Install a WordPress® theme from what is freely available through Wealthy Affiliate.
- Create a niche-related website.
- Sign up with reputable affiliates and add their products to the website.
- Write a blog post; leave plenty of room for future postings.
- Add the new website to Google and Bing.
- Implement campaign to attract traffic.
Please note that while I ended up with a specific niche, I will keep this document generic in nature. That way I won’t make it easy for anyone to just copy what I did. Instead, I’ll leave it up to you to come up with your own niche and website, which is what you need to do anyway.
