You now have your banner on your post, but it will not be clickable. By that I mean that although most of the banners state "click here" on them, if you do so now, it goes nowhere! You can check this by clicking on "View Post" at the top of your Editor:

When you click on "view post" you are looking at your site as it would appear to a visitor.

Obviously if a visitor goes to the trouble of clicking on a banner, you want that click to take them somewhere!

Make your Banner Clickable

• In the "Visual Editor", click on your banner. You will then be able to edit your banner. You can also change the position of your banner here if you wish.
• Click on the pen icon:

• When you click on the pen icon the editor facility will open:

• The red arrow points to the words "Link To". At the moment it says "None".
• Change that so that it says "Link to Custom URL":

• NB I have used that link as an example only!
