By creating an HTML table, you will be able to display multiple Amazon products on the same line of your web page or post. The following image displays four amazon products using the IFRAME HTML code that you get when you click on the "GET LINK" button, all displayed within an HTML table.

When copying the HTML code for each product link, I suggest you get the product links from the Amazon.com website. That way, if you live in a different country, you will be able to test that the BestAzon plugin works for you later on. For example, I live in Canada and when I click on one of the products that I have on my site from Amazon.com, I will be able to tell whether the plugin redirects to the Amazon.ca website.

the following HTML code can be added to your page/post. But make sure that when you are editing your page you are in text mode and NOT visual mode.

<table style="border: 1px solid black;">

<tbody>

<tr>

<td style="border: 1px solid black;"></td>

</tr>

</tbody>

</table>

For every additional product you want to add on the same row you would add an extra <td></td> tag. For every additional row you want to add, you would add an extra <tr></tr> tag. If you add an extra row, you must make sure to have to same number of <td></td> tags.

In the example above, there is only 1 <tr> tag, so there is only 1 row. There are 4 columns, so there would be 4 <td> tags. Within each <td> tag, is the HTML code that you copy when you click on the GET LINK button within the AMAZON affiliates site for each product.

Let's go to the next page and talk about the IFRAME tag.

Hi, would it not be enough just to install the plugin and sign up for your country's amazon if the plugin automatically leads the visitor to his/her country's amazon page anyway?

I am an affiliate with Amazon Mexico because I live in Mexico.

I personally wouldn't use a plugin, just sign up as an affiliate and use links provided.
Too many plugins slow your site down.

Do you know how to insert the HTML links they provide into your content?

Cheers

Hi Daisy, yes, I do. I just haven't figured out how to do that with pictures, I mean the Amazon link with photo. I can only get links.
Reply
DaisyK78 Premium
The pictures come with the links on Amazon.
Ok...
1. in wordpress
2. Open your post
3. Get to the position on your page where you want the ad to go.
4. Type INSERT and highlight it.
5. Top right corner of post you have two buttons....visual and text.
6. Click text
7. Find the highlighted word INSERT
8. Right click on the word INSERT and PASTE the link from Amazon that you have already copied.
9. Go back to those buttons and select visual

You should now have your chosen link with picture in your post
UPDATE....dont forget that magic button.

Does this help?

I haven't done it yet. I had an emergency last night. Rattlesnake bit one of my dogs, vets were closed, but he made it through the night. I will try this Amazon thing out later today or tomorrow 😊

In the southern Baja, in Mexico.
My dog didn't make it ... I tried to save him, but the poison had spread through his body, and his throat was very swollen (I think that's where he was bitten ...) . In the end he had trouble breathing ... He died yesterday afternoon :-(

Hi Daisy, I tried to do this, but I couldn't ... There is no button in Wordpress to highlight the word "INSERT" ... Do I need a plugin to highlight words ...?
Reply
DaisyK78 Premium
That is so sad. I feel for you. I couldnt bear that.
How awful. I've got tears in my eyes.

With the insert, use your mouse to bold it, do you know how to do that? Do you use a mouse on your computer?

Hi Shawn, I've come back to this to try and work with the tables for the first time but I'm not having any luck.

Where exactly do you post the inside that table html script example you gave? I've tried several different variations but am only winding up frustrated. Lol.

Thanks yet again

Hi Kevin!

You would paste the html code that you copy from the amazon link on the amazon site inside the <td style="border: 1px solid black;">paste your code here</td>. You also need to make sure that when you are editing your page, that you are in text mode and not visual mode, otherwise the links won't work. Give this a try and let me know how it goes. If you would prefer, you could send me a private message if you don't have any success and I can try and give you a more detailed example.

Good luck!

Terrific, Shawn! Thank you!

This has been on my "list" for a couple of weeks, as I've only signed up for Amazon.com (shame, shame, as I am also a Canadian, like you). I just haven't been able to get to signing up everywhere else and tackling the plugin. I also had wondered about how to display more than one product as you've just described. This is all very handy and helpful. I'll give it a try this weekend.

Thanks again!

My pleasure Kevin!

Good to talk with a fellow Canadian! I also signed up for amazon.com initially, but then signed up for a number of the other amazon sites after the fact. Thankfully, this BestAzon plugin will determine which site to send the visitor to.

Let me know if you have any issues when you try it this weekend.

Hi Kevin,
I have the same issues with a number of the amazon sites I've signed up to. I'm not sure what to say, but I thought there was a translate option with each one of them, but maybe not?
Reply

Thanks Shawn. Yeah, I looked around for a translate option, thinking that would be likely. It wasn't immediately apparent to me, but I'll go back into and see.

Thanks again for your help!

Hey Shawn, after I've installed EasyAzon and put all the affiliate IDs into the settings, do I have to go back and edit the links I've already put in previous/existing blog postings on the site?

I installed the plugin on one of my 3 sites, entered in the IDs for the affiliate programs and saved it (I didn't tinker with any of the advanced settings at the bottom). I then went back to the site and clicked an affiliate link in one of the posts and it still took me to Amazon.com (I'm in Ontario, Canada).

You're being incredibly patient with me. Thank you very sincerely for your help.

Hi Kevin,

Tell me which site you've installed the BestAzon plugin on and I will check some of your amazon links. I also live in Ontario, so if they are amazon.com links, they should render to amazon.ca.

My pleasure, happy to help out! Don't thank me until we get it working, lol.

Lol. Our time is valuable. I'm grateful you'd share some with me, Shawn.

This site is my least-built of the 3 I have. I thought it'd make the best 'test' in case something went wrong. Lol. But there's not a whole lot of Amazon on there.

However, these posts both have Amazon affiliate links in them:

Hi Kevin,
I tried the amazon links you had from both sites and they went to the amazon.com website instead of going to amazon.ca. Try and save each of those pages again and see if that makes a difference. To be honest, I don't remember if I had to redo my links after installing the plugin.
Let me know if that does anything. If not, I'm afraid you may have to redo the links.

Thanks for taking the time, Shawn!

If I replace the links, do I do anything differently? Or just go back to Amazon.com, get the affiliate link and create it new, now that EasyAzon is installed and activated?

I'll try it there and with the other sites too. Not sure I'll get to it tonight, but I'll get there.

Thanks again. I'm very grateful!

My pleasure Kevin,

You shouldn't have to do anything differently. Just make sure your affiliate link(s) that are imbedded in the html code from amazon match the one(s) in your easyazon settings. You should be good to go.

Just to confirm, you're using EasyAzon rather than BestAzon, right?

Good luck!

Hi Icee!
If you're still following the training, it should explain to you how to add content to your web pages. It also shows you how to add a video or insert photos into your pages/posts. I would be happy to try and explain it in more detail for you.

Hi Shawn,
Nice job on the training. I'm sure there are a lot of people that will benefit by this, however, people need to understand that with these types of plugins, they have to apply to all of the Amazon affiliate programs worldwide.

If they leave out any countries, the plugin author uses their own affiliate link for that country and will get the commission.

Also, these plugins are not perfect and there may not be a corresponding item in all countries but it will still bring them to the proper Amazon site.

For example, when a member here from the UK clicked on a beer mug on my site, there wasn't a corresponding item or asin number for that item in the UK. It did, however, bring him to a search result page for Tankards,

It should be noted, however, that I am using a different plugin,

Hi fhagstrom,
Do you mind sharing what plugin you use , and how is it different from the one mentioned by Shawn?

You mentioned , "the plugin author uses their own affiliate link for that country and will get the commission". that is really very scary the question is does this normally happen? and I'm not sure if Shawn or anyone else has done a thorough testing whether , the affiliate links for these are re-routed to the Plugin's auther. Can anyone shed some light on this.

thanks ,
Haji

Hi Haji,
The plugin I use is The Amazon Link Engine which also requires a Genius Link account to set up. It is limited as to the number of hits you can have in the free version.

The only reason I am using it is because it seemed to be the best one at the time that at least had a free option, however, since Shawn's excellent tutorial, I am seriously considering switching it out and going with his recommendation so, Thank you, Shawn!

The thing about the plugin authors affiliate link, I wouldn't worry about it too much. This only happens when you leave a country blank.

For example, if you decide not to join Amazon Brazil and leave it blank in the plugin, then the authors affiliate link will be used for Amazon Brazil only.

This is very common and they all do this. Perhaps this isn't done with a paid plugin, I'm not sure. Maybe Jovo can come back in and shed some light on that.

You told me recently about this plugin. So this must be rather new one. It was not there a few months ago when I was searching for a tool of this type.

So I payed for Easy Azone, pity, though it gives more than this one, but I would rather have a free tool.

Bookmarked, if somebody needs it.

Good tutorial. I am sure many will be using this tool. Thank you.
