If you can master product reviews, you are going to be mastering the conversion process. Before people buy anything (or join) they want to read a through review. In this training video I will walk you through the process of creating a quality review for Wealthy Affiliate, along with some other "tricks" as to how you can link to your review within your website.

If you have any questions about reviews, please leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

So I'm a little confused. I feel that I can write a good review of the Wealthy Affiliate program, that's not the problem. But where do I post it? That may seem like a silly question, but I'm serious. My niche website is healthychihuahuas.com. Do I write a WA review and create a post on my chihuahua website? When I first started, I created and purchased two domain names, then decided I really needed to focus on one of them while I was learning the process. I chose to focus on my Chihuahua site. My other domain name is "makemoneywithJules" and I haven't really done anything with that site as of yet. I could use some advice - should I plan on posting the WA review on my Chihuahua website? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer!

Writing a Wealthy Affiliate review is only for those in the bootcamp which is all about promoting Wealthy Affiliate. Those in the WA bootcamp have a site dedicated to promoting WA. Your niche is obviously a different one, so you don't need to be in the WA Bootcamp, you can just do the training in the green tab with the certification courses.

Don't worry, if you've been doing the lessons in the WA Bootcamp they're not much different from the regular course lessons, they're just more specific to promoting WA. I'd switch back to the regular course training and get back to your chihuahua site.

There's nothing wrong with referencing WA in your chihuahua website, maybe as a "here's how I do what I do" type reference, but for that target audience it might be a little off topic to post a review like that on a chihuahua website.

Eric - thanks very much for that explanation. I didn't realize that the overall purpose of the bootcamp curriculum was for people who had sites to promote WA. That's good to know and will save me some time. Give me more time to focus on my niche website. Like I said in my question, I did create two domain names when I first got started, and the other one is a "makemoneyonline" type of site. So perhaps after i really get my Chihuahua site up and running well, I can do some work on the other site and then focus on the bootcamp lessons. I appreciate your input!

Hello Julie, I don't think a post on Wealthy Affiliate (WA) would work on a Chihuahua site. To not lose your thoughts on WA, I would suggest writing the post and post it on your other site that deals with money issues. When you are ready to put more time into that site you will still have the post.

Me personally I would just create the review and put it on your making money site so it will be there whenever you do start to add more and that will be one thing off of your list of things to do. You can also stick it on your puppy site somewhere as well as advise for your viewers if they would like to create their own website, you will get paid either way if they sign up.

I think a review is a much better idea than just links to WA all over your site. Thanks for the template. I will give writing a WA review a try.

Is it possible to transform a website page into a post, then removing the pages...?
Reply
ericcantu Premium
You could simply copy and paste all the content from the page from the text editor to a new post if you wanted to move everything over. I'm not a big fan of deleting pages or posts simply for the fact that you get a big error message if you ever visit that link again, but you could either have a redirect from the old page to the new post, or simply just not link to that page from anywhere in your site and it will be hidden away while your post is front and center and active on your site.
Reply
YvonC Premium
Thank you so much.

Because I was under the impression that having latest post on your page is better than having a static page that you need to update and on a continuing building process.

What's your take on that ?
Reply
ericcantu Premium
Well, having a static front page isn't a bad thing. I personally use it, and many others do as well. So it's really a personal choice. Many also just stick to the default of having their main page be their blogroll.

if you had a page that was basically a welcome page, I wouldn't change that to a post though. It really wouldn't make sense. Especially as you add content and new posts and that welcome post would get lost at the bottom of your blog roll.

I like the template idea on reviews to give your site a cohesive look throughout - with more reviews to come.

You definitely need a review when promoting the Wealthy Affiliate service/product.

I am wondering though if on my hobby (niche) website, where I am passively mentioning WE for promoting, should I put a review page on the website or blog about it, or do you think it is better to direct the reader with a link to my review at my WE website generateaffiliateincome.com . Any suggestions? Here is an example of what I mean for passively promote on my gamer site (see tip #6 on page )http://traviantips.siterubix.com/travian-gold )

It is not necessary to write only reviews. What WA lessons teach you is to make website in your own subject of interest. So, that can be anything about which you have lots of knowledge. So, sure for that you can write any type of content, like articles, jokes etc. It is not necessary to be reviews always.

Very informative video. If it is possible to find contact information to the owners of the service I am reviewing. Is it okay to include it in my review?
Reply
FarhanSidik Premium
Is it necessary, to include them? Do the owners need to be contacted in order for their services to be functional? Are the people visiting your page going to benefit from that information?

If your answer is no, then perhaps it is best to not include their personal information just to be safe (possibly to avoid legal repercussions).

However, this is just my personal opinion. Have a nice day!
Reply
Lunaria Premium
Oh, well certainly not personal information. Customer Service. As in regard to closing an account. (I would hope legal actions would not be necessary for that lol)

However, thank you, I will include it. Just in case someone cannot find the customer support information on their own.

Thanks, you have a nice day as well :)

I have been asked this question (of which I, myself, have had as well) and I want to reach out to the WA members to ask it again so get some more "tenured" answers...

How can one give an "honest review" of anything if they have not completed the training or experienced it to it's fullest?

All The Best,
Jeremy David Wilson

Ken-Pringle Premium
Excellent point Jeremy.

Reply
upsgirl Premium
You use "honest review"...be careful what you really want to do here. If you're asking about doing a Review, do just that. Research your topic and write in your own words. One doesn't have to give an "honest review" this early in the training. You're not being asked to do so. Don't make it so difficult. There are hundreds of other Keywords...choose one you're comfortable writing about and get it done.
Reply
MHainsworth Premium
You can give an honest review of your progress to date. Many people are interested in the early stages such as how easy it is to open an account, do you need a credit card, is the free option really free, is the training you've experienced so far worthwhile, is the community helpful, do the owners care about the site, etc..

Many scams show up within minutes of joining a programme so the fact that you have been here this long and experienced enough to know it's not a scam is still an important message to write about.

Hope that helps a bit, Marie

Writing a review is a little tricky. The video was very helpful, but now the hard part is putting it into my own words. But I am up to the challenge.

DeRaj Premium
Dear Cameron,
It is very easy to write the content. Don't try to make it perfect at first time. First of all write whatever comes in your mind. Then see the related keywords for your content and put that keyword on the title and 1st paragraph of your article. At last do one time revision in order to make it perfect, but although it is not perfect, it will be ranked in search engines. So, never go after to make it perfect. Instead give your time to write more content. In that way you will get more traffic and conversions.

I like the clean look with the white background. Very professional!
I would swap your Page order. Move the About Me and Privacy Policy Pages to the end.
Your Home Page is blank so add something interesting...like why your visitors are there.
Under Getting Started Page, I would link WA in this sentence..."Build your own affiliate website FREE."
I would add the Jaaxy and WordPress information. Also, there is a Create A Website In 30 Seconds video and the SiteRubix information.
Please change ADMIN to your name. It personalizes your website.
About Me Page...go through and check spelling and grammar errors. One is the "a" in Wealthy Affiliate is not capitalized. In your last sentence, the Wealthy Affiliate link takes us to an incomplete page so you still need to provide content. I did check all your banners and they do work properly.
You are doing okay...keep going and if you have any questions, just drop them here. Good luck!

Yeeeasss, I've done it thus far! Thanks so much Kyle!! The penny is dropping now, wow, I am excited!! I've linked my about me page to my WA review blog page and set up a "Keep Calm & Join WA" button and also a "Now Get Excited" button and linked them both to my wa affiliate id. I prefer linking buttons rather than text, but in my about me page I thought I would link internally in my own site via text In my own personal opinion, it seems more professional to link to external sites using buttons rather than text. What are you're thoughts on that Kyle? Many thanks again. :)

I tend to think of your term 'Interlink(s)' as Intralink(s) since the term Internet is about many computers at various sites (usually) vs. Intranet refers to computers linked at one site (usually). Intra = internal vs. Inter = external is my rough way of looking at it. You say Potato and I say Patato................no big deal either way.

Dear JoeMags,
According to my experience, it is better to have 3 links if your content have less than 1000 words. If your content is lengthy, then you can consider to put upto 5 links, but not more than that.
In one page it is better to put only one website links. Don't put different links within one page. But, you can put as many links as you want within one page if those links are other pages of your same website.

No, duplicate content is not allowed on the web. You will need to create your own.

Kyle, excellent entry into writing reviews - Lesson 8, Bootcamp. I

power of SEO was super important, but until I joined WA (which I

instruction here is absolutely "College level" with an 8th grade

I see the reason for a similar layout throughout your reviews, it makes comparisons much easier.
Therefore a template is very useful.
However are you going to review similar products? Sounds a good idea but will require a lot of research if to be done as thoroughly as Kyle's on WA.
It would be so easy to be thorough on WA ('cos we know it :-)) and less so on other competing products that we don't know as well ('cos we are not members). This I feel would make your site look a clear sales pitch and would lose credibility as a helpful review site.
I would like to produce a lighter collection of reviews of a few products, using a template to make comparison easy. I could then conclude WA is my recommendation and let's look at WA in greater depth and link to the full review.
Reply
MasterEd Premium
That's the spirit - let's get it done - it won't be you last but it should one of your best ones if not the best review you do since you will be more than likely converting for you.

Coz I don't only want to promote Wealthy Affiliate through my website, but I want promote more than 50 other websites as well. So in that case should I have to put affiliate link of each website in respective review page or should I have to put all companies affiliate links in one page and drive traffic to that page from each review page?
Reply
Stonefox Premium
I see, well, if it were me, I would make sure each program you review has a link to that program on the program's review page.

Like Kyle said, even if someone sees a bad review on something, they will join anyway for whatever reason. You want to leverage their bad decision to do so, so to speak, so you will get a referral commission from the program.

If you haven't been to the classrooms here yet, try them as well. Maybe someone else has some advice there. Many contributors. In upper left corner of any page, click grey "Activity Dashboard" then "Classrooms" at the top. Cheers.

Sure I'm taking classes but not finish all. Will keep on continue taking it. But Kyle's video which you suggest me to see make me more confuse, coz he say it is better to put affiliate link in only one page. So is that mean we should centralize all our affliate link, our all company affiliate link in one page? or is it better to put in each review page? Even I ask this question to many people here. Some one say like you, put in each review page respective affliliate link. And someone say putting affiliate link in each and every page is not good idea for ranking. So I'm still confuse. I think Kyle should help us to give the correct answer.

So when righting reviews how do you choose a rating for them?

I start on the basis of deciding whether something is legitimate or scam with legit being on the 100 end and scam being on the 0 end.

The closer it is to "perfectly legit" the closer to 100 my rating would be, whereas the closer it is to "definite scam" the closer my score would be to 0.

Hope this answer made sense.
