No matter if you want to add your images as you are creating the post or after you have written all the content and add your pictures last. You need pictures for visualization.

First thing to do is make sure that your cursor is placed in your post in the area that you will want to put the image.

While you are in SiteContent you want to click on the media button. It is right beside the abc checker.

Once you have clicked on the image box, it will bring up a search bar that allows you to type in the the type of image you would like to use.

Below is a picture showing you how it works. I have searched "adding images" so that it fits this tutorial.

Once you have found a image you would like to use, you need to click on it. This will bring up another box where you will need to crop the image. You can click on the white boxes or the white lines to crop.

When cropping your picture you want to have an arrow and not something that looks like crosshairs or something to that effect.

If you try to crop with the crosshairs it will just move the cropping box around. Unless you only want part of the picture cropped then in that case you can just grab the box and put it on the part of the picture you want cropped.

Hi Lee,
I am trying to put my picture in a post called "Getting to Know Daisy". The text, I have put to the right side because I want the picture on the left. When I try, it changes the text. Is there a way to put the picture in beside the text?
I appreciate you,
Daisy

There sure it.
Are you in SiteContent?

You want to be sure that your cursor is located where you want the image.
When you click on the image it will bring up an edit box. You can then click on the side you want the picture to go. I included a screenshot in case you need it.
Your text will then be moved to the other side of the picture like in the second screen shot.
Let me know if you need additional help : )

Okay for the drag and drop method you have to make your window smaller so that you can also access the photo that you are wanting to drag into your post.
You need to click on the picture that you want to "drag" and move it to the "drag and drop" place .

Your cursor should remain where you left it even after you click on the image icon to add an image.

I know it makes it difficult because then you can,t see.

I have NEVER done a video before. BUT if I can figure out how to do a training video that shows my screen, I will do it. JUST for you : )
My daughter has football practice today and we also have open house for school.

I will try to research it while I am there and then I can give it a try when we get home.

I will also see if anyone else has training on it here in WA before I leave.
I don't want you having to wait for me. I know you need to get it done and I know the frustration it can cause.

Ok that link that i found isn't showing you how to drag and drop. It was about Canva. I will look for another one and try it before I give it to you : )

i've had some help, but for some reason my "ole" brain isn't comprehending. I can "copy" an image from where I saved it, but it doesn't go into my "gallery" and if it does, it doesn't stay there until I can use it. - - VERY CONFUSING. Thank you for your offer of help.

I love helping others.
When you copy the image, where are you copying it from?

Believe me, I was just as confused when I first started : )

You are definitely not stupid my friend.
Anytime we do something new, we have to learn how, right?

You are a begginer and you will learn.
When we get frustrated, it causes things to seem worse than they are and our brain becomes foggy, I guess you would say : )

I have caused myself HOURS of lost time on something that was so simple, but I didn't realize it because I caused myself so much stress while trying to figure it out.

Very useful Lee, one comment if I may, when I use WA blog and insert a picture, I have to remember to move the page up, otherwise I cannot see the insert button as it is hidden by the picture which usually means starting again Just a thought

Edwin,
I didn't include adding images to W A blog/post. Maybe I should have huh?

I just see many new members that have questions about adding images to there post and thought I would just create training to show them how.

Creating the training took longer than I thought because adding the images for it was a little different as well.

I believe I can go in ad edit the training and add "Adding Images To W A Blog?Post". Might be a couple of days until I can do it.

Thank you for your "thought". It is definitely a good one.

Thank you very much Jangle.
I am really hoping that it will help some new members and maybe relive some of their stress when it comes to adding images.

I agree this is a keeper. Thank you Lee Ann great training and use of screen shots. I wished this would have been available sooner, but that's ok. Have a great weekend.

Xavier,
Thank you.
It is like the saying goes "A day late and a dollar short". : )

Hopefully it will be able to help someone out there in W A land.
Sorry it wasn't in time for you.

In all seriousness, can you think of an issue that you may have had when adding images that I might have missed?

Like Edwin brought up there difference when you add images to a post/blog on our W A profile. Which I will be adding to the training at some point.
