As with a comment policy your guest blogging policy should describe what you allow and don't allow in guest blogs. It should define the basis of the relationship between your site and any guest bloggers.

It should also encourage people to submit content and help set up the parameters for submissions. How do you want to receive content? Think about how it would be easiest and quickest for you to publish the content. You don't want to spend hours editing a guest post.

The ultimate goal of your guest blogging policy is to make it as easy as possible for YOU to deal with submissions and to make it easy for guest bloggers to submit quality content.

Below you will find a link to my guest blogging policy. Feel free to use any of it on your own site again :)

My Guest Blogging Policy

I chose the Title: Submit Your Content, as I think it sounds more encouraging then using the word policy :)

Thanks Sarah for your wonderful blog on Comments and Blog Policies. If you don.t mind I may adopt your comment policies to abbreviate my thinking process in generating one. It will serve as my prototype to create my own, not to plagiarize it. Cheers and Best!

Feel free to use as much of it as you want. It was one of the main reason why I shared this training. It took me a while to get mine together as I had to do some research. So hopefully this will save a lot of fellow WAers a lot of time :)

Thank you for the heads-up Sarah, I've seen some nastiness in my time, though thankfully never in our WA community.
God bless...

Hey Shirley,
thankfully my unpleasant commentor was not a WA member. But it made me realize that the more exposure my site gets, the more it can attract people who "like to argue". After doing some research and learning that interacting with them does not get rid of them, I decided to implement the policy. It has worked very well for me so far :)
